AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDIIlG ORDINANCE NO. 488 OF SAID CITY, REGULATING rlIDTH
AIID AREA OF LOTS IN SUBDIVISIONS './ITHIN SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOHS:
SECTION 1. That Section 1.1 of Ordinance No. 488 of the City
of Arcadia, California, entitled, "An Ordinance of the City Council of
the City of Arcadia, providing specifications for street work; regulat-
ing the width of streets, alleys and parbvays and also regulating
the installation of water malns in new subdivisions in said City of
Arcadia.", adopted on the 21st day of July, 1942, and to which
said Section 1.1 was added by Ordinance No. 516 of said City, adopted
on the 2nd day of May, 1944, be and the same is hereby amended to read

as follows:
SECTION 1.1 (a) That all lots in any subdivision ~ereafter
approved by the City Council of the City of Arcadia, located within a
district of Zone R-l-A of said City, as said district is now or may
hereafter be established under the provisions of Ordinance No. 439 of
said City shall havs a minimum width of eighty (80) feet.
(b) In Zones R-l, R-2 and R-3 of said City as
said districts are :now or may hereafter be established under the
provisions of Ordin.ance No. 439 of said City, all lots in any such
subdivision located within a district of either of said Zones shall
have a minimum average width of seventy-five (75~ feet and a minimum
frontage of seventy.-five (75) feet on a public street, and a minimum
area of 7,500 square feet. Provided, however, that upon finding by
the Planning Commlsnion and the City Council of said City that con-
ditions in territo~' adjacent to said subdivision are such that a
Ie sser vlidth or area is advisable, then all of said lots shall have a
minimum average width of sixty (60) feet together with a minimum fron-
tage of sixty (60) feet on a public street, and a minimum area of
7,500 square feet.

(e) In Zones C-1, C-2, M-1, M-2 and S of said
City as said districts are no~ or may hereafter be escablished under
the provisions of Ordinance No. 439 of said City, all lots in any
such subdivision locatedwithin a district of either of said Zones shall
have a minimum width of forty (40) feet and a minimum area of 4,000
square feet.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from
the passage thereof, shall cause the same to be published once in the
Arcadia Tribune and Arcadia News, a newspaper of general circulation,
published and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and thirty days from
and after the final passage thereof said Ordinance shall take effect
and be in force.

ed regular meetin8 of the City Council of the City of Arcadia,
