If, durinB the p3riod of time covered by said license and taB, the taG issued should be lost, then the owner of the dog for which said license \7as issued, shall be intitled to receive a duplicate tag from the Chief of Police upon filins a \7ritten statewent that said tag is lost, together with the payr1ent of a fee of twenty-five (25~) cents to cover the cost of the duplicate tag. That it shall be unlarrful for any person, firm or corpora.tion to imitate or counterfeit the tags in this Ordinance provided for or to use any imitation or counterfeit of such tag. SECTION 10. Said Chief of Police and the Pound J.iaster. shall each pay over weekly to the City Treasurer all sums collected by him as heroin provided and make a monthly report to said City Council of his proceedings he):>eunder. SECTION 15. All dogs so captured by said officer or person shall be examined by. the City Health Officer and it shall be the duty of such City Health Officer when called upon to examine any such do~, to ascertain whether or not such dog is afflicted with rabies. The City Health Officer is hereby authorized to provide for the care of the dogs captured and held pursuant to the prOVisions of this Ordinance, and the expenses incurred thereby shall, in cases where such dogs are not reclaimed, be paid.by the City of Arcadia not exceed- ing fifty cents per day for each dog. Every person who kills any doS, as herein REPEALED ORO. No. &00 provided shall bury or destroy the same. If any dog is found not to be afflicted vith rabies and is not reclaimed by the owner thereof, within ten (10) days after the capture thereof, such dog shall be killed by the person capturing the same, or given to such person as will pay the expenses incurred in impounding such dog. Vfuenever it is shown that any dog or other has bitten any person,it shall be unlawful for the owner or person haVing the care, control, custody or possession thereof, upon order of .the City Health Officer, to fail, refuse or neglect to quarantine such dog and keep it tied up or confined for a period of tllree veeks or to fail, refuse, or neglect to allow the Cit;y Health Officer .01' his deputy to make an inspection or examination thereof at any time during said period. If it shall be estnblished to the satisfaction of the City Health Officer that any such dog or other animal has rabies, the Cit;y Health Officer shall cause such dog or other animal to be humanely killed forthwith. SECTION 17. Whenever any animal shall be bitten by another animal having rabie~l, it shall be unlawful for the owner or person . having the care, control, custody or possession of the animal so bitten, upon being informed thereof, to fail, refuse or neglect to either kill such animal or quar!mtine it, and keep it confined or tied up for a period of six months, and the City Health Officer or his deputy shall have the power, in his discretion, to kill or quarantine the animal so bitten in case the crIDer or person having the custody or possession thereof REPEALfO ORD.
