ORDINANCE NO. 356
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
ESTABLISHING THE NAMES OF LeROY AVENUE, EL NORTE AVENUE, EL SUR
AVENUE, MAYFLOWER AVENUE, ALTA VISTA AVENUE and SHORT STREET IN
THE CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY GOUNCIL OF THE 9ITY OF ARCADIA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION l:
That the name of that certain Street in said

C!ty of Arcadia, commonly known as Le Roy Xvenue, situate between
Duarte Road and Naomi Avenue and extending from Holly Avenue to
El Monte Avenue, be and the same is hereby fixed and established
as LE ROY AVENUE.
That the name of that certain Street in said City of
Arcadia, commonly known as El Norte Avenue, extending from Tenth
Avenue to Mayflower Avenue, and being the Northerly sixty (60)
feet of Lots 14 and IS of the F. A. Geier Tract, as per map recorded
in Book 23, Page 40 of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County, be and
the same is hereby fixed and established as EL NORTE AVENUE.
That the name of that certain Street in said City of Arcadia,
commonly known as El Sur Aven~9, extending from Tenth Avenue to
Mayflower Avenue, and being the Northerly sixty (60) feet of Lot
31 of the aforesaid F. E. Geier Tract, be and the same is hereby
fixed and established as EL SUR AVENUE.
That the nllme of that certain Street in said City of Arcadia,
commonly known as Mayflower Avenue, being the Westerly sixty (60)
feet of Lot 32 of the aforesaid F. A. Geier Tract, and being the
extension of Mayflower Avenue as shown on map of said Tract, be
an::l the same is horeby fixed and established as MAYFLOWER AVENUE.
That the name of that certain Street in said City of !tcadia,
commonly known as Alta Vista Avenue, lying Easterly of and parallel
with Mayflower Avenue, be and the same is hereby fixed and estab-
lished as ALTA VISTA AVENUE.
That the nsme of that certain Street in said City of Arcadia,
commonly known as Short Street, extending from Mayflower Avenue to

Alta Vista Avenue, be and the same is hereby fixed and established
as SHORT STREET.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the
Arcadia Tribune, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said
City of Arcadia and thirty (30) days therefrom and thereafter the
same shall take .~ffect and be in force.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was adopted at
a regular meeting of the City 60uncil of the City of Arcadia held
on the 30th day of June, 1937, by the affirmative vote of at least
three councilmen. to-wit:

NOES: None
ABSENT: None
