HomeMy WebLinkAbout0366 ORDINANCE NO. 366 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA MAKING AN EXCEPTION TO ORDINANCE NO. 308 AND PERMITTING THE EREC- TION OF SIGNS ADVEHTISING THE SALE OF THE PROPERTY ALONG THE NORTHERLY SIDE OF HUNTINGTON DRIVE FOR THE PERIOD OF ONE YEAR. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That an exception is hereby made to Ordinance Number 308 of said City of Arcadia for a period of one year from the effective date of this Ordinance, and after one year this Ordinance shall be null and void and of no effectJ Rancho Santa Anita Inc., is hereby granted permission to erect and maintain signs up to the property line on Huntington Drive, offering its real p:roperty for sale. This pe~tssion is given for a period of one year from the effective date of this Ordinance, after which date the erection and maintenance of signll shall be unlawful as provided in Ordinance No. 308. SECTION 2: This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an urgency measure and the facts constituting the urgency are as follows: the land on the North side of Huntington Drive is unde- veloped land; there are trees which would obstruct the signs from view if they were erected back of the set back line as provided by Ordinance No. 308; in order that the signs may be erected and main- tained and the property advertised for sale, it is necessary that this Ordinance take effect immediately. SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published once in the Arcadia Tribune, a daily ne\":3paper published and circulated in the City of Arcadia and thereupon the same shall be in force and effect.
