ORDINANCE NO. 372.
AN ORDI~ARCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
AHENDING ORDINANCE NO. 257 OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA: ESTABLISHING
SET BACK LINES ON A PORTION OF DUARTE ROAD AND ON A PORTION OF
BALDWIN AVENUE IN SAID CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES ORDAH! AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION l:
That after a public hearing pursuant to
Resolution of Intention No. 895, the City Council of the City of
Arcadia hereby determines that the public peac'e, health, safety,
comfort and convenience, interest and welfare require and the
Ci ty Council here1:'y establishes set back lines on a portion of
Duarte Road as follows:
40' 6" South from the center line of Duarte Road along
and in front of Lot l, Tract No. 5659 as per map book ll5, Page
lOa of It,aps, Records of Los Angeles County; also, 40' 6" South
from the center line of Duarte Road along and in front of Lot 7,
Tract No. 4090 as per map book 43, Page 47 of Maps, Records of
Los Angeles County.
The City Council hereby establishes set back lines on
a portion of BaldwIn Avenue as follows:
On Bald.l:in Avenue 45 feet East of the center line from
Duarte Road to Naomi Avenue; and also 45 feet East of the center
line from Naomi Avonue to Camino Real Avenue.
SECTION ~!: Tha tit shall be unlawful for any person, firm
or corporation to E.rect, construct or locate any building or other
structure upon any lot, any piece or parcel of land, except in con-
formity uith the set back lines established herein and set out above.
That no building or other structure shall be erected, con-
structed or built within said set back lines.
SECTION 3:
That that portion of Ordinance No. 257 of the
Ci ty of Arcadia which e s tabl1shes the set back lines on the property
described and only that portion uhich is in conflict herewith, be

and the same is hereby amended to comply with the terms of this
Ordinance.
SECTION 4: That any person, firm or corporation viola-
ting any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor and upon a conviction thereof shall be punished by
a fine not exceedi,ng three hundred dollars ($300) or by imprisonment
in the City Jail e,f said City of Arcadia or in the County Jail of
the County of Los Angeles, at the discretion of the committing magis-
trate, for a period not exceeding three months, or by both such
fine and imprisonment; and every such person, firm or corporation
shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each day during any
portion of which the violation or failure, neglect or refusal to
comply with the provisions of this Ordinance is committed, continued,
permi tted or allowed. "
SECTION 5: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the
Arcadia Tribune, a daily newspaper published and circulated in said
City of Arcadia, a~d thirty days from and after the final passage
thereof the same shall take effect and be in force.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance ~as adopted
regularly adjourned
at a Updu meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held
on the 28th day of
