HomeMy WebLinkAbout0914 ORDINANCE NO. 914 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, VACATING A PORTION OF THIRD AVENUE AND RESERVING EASEMENTS THEREIN FOR SEWERS, DRAINS AND OTHER PUBLIC UTILITIES THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. After a public hearing, regularly held and duly noticed pursuant to Ordinance No. 905 of the City Council adopted January 18, 1955", the City Council does hereby find and determine that 'the public" interest and convenience require a vaca- tion of the following por~ion of a public street in the City of Arcadia, officially named: and commonly !mown as Third Avenue, to- , wit: ' That portion, of Third Avenue in the City of Arcadia, lying between the southerly line of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad right of way, 95 feet in width, and a line parallel with and 567.25 feet northerlY,: from the northerly line of C~lifornia , 'Street, 60 feet in width.\ SECTION 2. Tha~ the portiori of T~ird Avenue lying be- _', 7 tween the southerly line of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Rail- road right of way, 95 feet in width, and a line parallel with and 567.25 feet northerly from the northerly'line of California Street, 60 feet in width, be and ,the same is hereby vacated. SECTION 3. Pursuant to the findings made in Section 2 of Ordinance No. 905, the City of Arcadia reserves and excepts unto itself the right and easement at any time, or from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, repair, replace, remove or renew sani- tary sewers, storm drains', water distribution facilities and other publiC utilities, and necessary structures pertinent thereto, in, c' upon, over and across said portion of Third Avenue hereinabove de- scribed and hereby declared vacated. - 1 - ;NDliXm 914 , ..
