HomeMy WebLinkAbout0855 ~, ()J SECTION 1. f>'\ Arcadia . . . . . ,. ORDINANCE No.855 AN ORmNANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 12 OF ORDINANCE NO.754. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: That Section 12 of Ordinance No.343 of the City of adopted November 4, 1936, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 12. Ar1y owner or user desiring a service connection with the said City Water System, shall make application to the Water Department as hereinafter specified, Whereupon said Water Department as a condition for granting such application to furnish water to said consumer is authorized to and shall require a payment therefor at the rate fixed for such service as follows: For disk type up to and including a 3/4 inch connection with a 5/8 inch meter the sum of $55.00. For disk type up to and including a 3/4 inch connection with a 3/4 inch meter the sum of $60.00. For disk type up to and including a 1 inch connection with a 3/4 inch meter the sum of $65.00. For disk type up to and including a 1 inch connection with a 1 inch meter the sum of $80.00. It the location of the water main to which any of the fore- going water services is connected necessitates excavation on any portion in any paved portion of any street, an additional charge of $10.00 for r.esurfacing such excavation shall be made and collect- ed by the City at the time of application for such service connection. No service of any size other than those hereinabove specified shall be installed except upon the approval of the City Manager and Water Superintendent as to size of connection and size and type of meter. All services other than those hereinabove specified, shall be installed only by the City_Water Department, and the ex- pense of such installation shall be paid by the applicant therefor upon completion of such installation. The cost of installation shall include the actual cost of all labor and material used in -1- ....--'" OACI. p,'.)!; , . making such connection and setting the meter, plus Ten Percent (10%) thereof for administrative expense and over head. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from the passage thereof, shall cause the same to be pUblish- ed once in the Arcadia Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and thirty (30( days from add after the final passage thereof said Ordinance shall take effect and be in force. .
