ORDINANCE NO. 802.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARCADIA, A~ffilIDING OR~INANCE NO. 431 OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CREATING AND ESTABLISH-
ING A IE RSONl'lEL SYSTEM FOR SAID CITY, ADOPTED
MARCH 5, 1940, AS AMENDED, BY ADDING THERETO

SECTION 2A.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOVlS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 431 of the City of Arcadia,
entitled, "An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Arcadia,
creating and establishing a personnel system for said City, "
adopted and approved March 5, 1940, as amended, be and the same is
hereby amended by adding thereto a new section, to be known as and
numbered Section 2A, and to read as follows:
"Section 2A: In case a member of the Person-
nel Board absents himself from three consecutive regular
meetings of the Board, unless by permission of the Board,

his office shall become vacant and the same shall be filled
as in the case of other vacancies. Any person appointed
to fill any such vacancy shall hold office for the unex-
pired term of the former incumbent."
SECTION 2. That said Ordinance No. 431 shall be and the
same is hereby amended ,aa hereinabove in Section 1 of this Ordinance
set forth.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Ordinance and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days
from the passage thereof, shall cause the same to be published
once in the Arcadia Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation,
published and circulated in the City of Arcadia.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia

held on the 4th of April, 1950, by the affirmative vote of at
least three Councilmen, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Boucher, Klomp, Nugent, Russell and Sullivan

ABSENT: None
