AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, CHANGING AND ELIMIN- ATING THE SETBACK LINES ON PORTIONS OF ALICE STREET, A PUBLIC STREET IN THE CITY OF ARCA- DIA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Resolution of Intention No. 2021, and after a public hearing thereon, the City Council of the City of Arcadia does hereby determine that the public peace, haith, safety, interest and publlc welfare require, and it is hereby ordered, that the setback lines previously establish- ed on the following described portions of Alice street, a pUblic street in the City of Arcadia, to wit: the setback lines previously established at twenty-five (25') feet over and upon Lots 7 and 8 of Block One (1) in Tract No. 101, as per map recorded in Book 13, Page 52 of Maps, Records in the Office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, being upon the North side of Alice Street, aforesaid, and East of Santa Anita Avenue, in said City of Arcadia, be and the same are hereby eliminated. SECTION 2. That any person, firm or corporation violat- ing any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine not exfeeding Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or by imprison- ment in the City Jail of said City of Arcadia, or in the County Jail of the County of Los Angeles, State of California, at the discretion of the Committing Magistrate, for a period not exceeding six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment; and each such person, firm or corporation shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each day during any portion of which the violation of, or failure, neglect or refusal to comply with, any of the provisions of this 1. 0(,0 ,,,Q clu~1 YIO , Ordinance is committed, continued or permitted. SECTION 3. That all other portions of Ordinances in conflict herewith be, and the same ~e hereby repealed; that the repealing clause is not intended to affect any other Ordinance or portion of Ordinance in the City of Arcadia not in conflict with this Ordinance. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall c erti1'y to the adoption of this Ordinance and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from the passage thereof shall cause the same to be published once in the Arcadia Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, pub- lished and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and thirty days from and after the final passage thereof said Ordinance shall take ef- fect and be in force. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on the 16th day of May, 1950, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Kennett ,Klomp ,Schmocker ,Nottingham and Sullivan NOES: None ABSENT: None I City Clerk of the City 0 Arcadia.
