ORDINANCE NO. 819
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 813.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 813 entitled, "An Ordinance
of the City of Arcadia, California, regulating and restricting the
use of water in said City", adopted on the 20th day of June, 1950,
be and the same is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an
urgency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the publio
peace, health and safety, and shall take effect and be in full force
immediately upon its adoption. A declaration of the facts constitu-
ting its urgency are as follows:
Said Ordinance No. 813 was adopted to protect the inhabi-
tants of the City of Arcadia from a critical water shortage. Said
crisis has now been averted by the supplementing of the Arcadia City
water system and by favorable weather oonditions. It is therefore
necessary that the restrictions on the use of water be released imme-
diately so that the public may use all water necessary for irrigating,
wateri~domestic and commercial use.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
thi s Ordinanc e .
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on
the 19th day of September, 1950, by the affirmative vote of at least
three Councilmen, to wit:
