ORDINANCE NO. 825
AN OHDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 257 OF SAID CITY
BY ADDING SECTION I-D THERETO.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the recommendation of the
Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia, made after public'
hearing as provided in Section 4 of Ordinance No. 229 of said
City, adopted August 21, 1929, Ordinance No. 257 entitled, "An
Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Arcadia Establishing
Setback lines on Certain Streets and Avenues in Said City of
Arcadia and Providing a Penalty for a Violation Thereof," adopted
May 19, 1931, be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto
Section I-D, the same to read as follows:
"Section I-D. Notwithstanding anything to the con-
trary in Section 1 of Ordinance No. 257 of the City of Arcadia,
a setback line 55' south of the center line of Sierra Madre
Boulevard along the south side of Sierra Madre Boulevard between
the westerly line of Tract No. 7473, as shown on map recorded in
Book 93, Page 51 of Maps in the Office of County Recorder of Los
Angeles County, and the easterly line of the easement for flood
control purposes recorded in Book 17207, Page 162 of official
records of Los Angeles County, is hereby established and re-estab-
lished."
SECTION 2. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 257 of the City

of Arcadia adopted May 19, 1931, insofar as the same is contrary
to or inconsistent with Section I-D hereinabove, is hereby
amended accordingly, and the setback established and re-established
by'Section I-D hereinabove shall prevail over ~~e setback affecting
the same property previously established by said Ordinance No. 257.

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Ordinance and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days
from the passage thereof shall cause the same to be published once
in the Arcadia Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation,
published and circulated in the City of Arcadia.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Arcadia, held on the 16th day of January, 1951, by the affirmative
vote of at least three Councilmen, to-wit:
