AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA. CALIFORNIA. AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 257 OF
aAID CITY BY ADDING SECTION I-F THERETO.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA. CALIFORNIA. DOES
ORDlIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursWlnt to the recommendation of the
Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia. and after public
hearing and notice duly given as provided in Ordinance No.229
of said City. adopted August 21. 1929. and Ordinance No.257
entitled: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA ESTABLISHING SETBACK LINES ON CERTAIN STREETS AND
AVENUES IN aAID CITY OF ARCADIA AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR
THE VI OLATI ON THEREOF". adopted May 19. 1931. be and the same
is hereby amended by adding thereto Section I-F. the same to
read as follows:
"SECTION I-F. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary
10 Section 1 of Ordinance No.257 of the City of Arcadia. a set-
back 110e of 25 feet Westerly from and parallel with the Wester-
ly 110e of Third Avenue from the Northerly 110e of California.
Street to a point 507.25 feet Northerly therefrom 10 the City
of Arcadia. is hereby established and re-establ1shed."
SECTION 2. Section 1 of Ord1nance No.257 of the City of
Arcadia. adopted May 19. 1931. insofar as the same is contrary
to or inconsistent with Section I-F hereinabove is hereby amend-
ed accordingly and the setback established and re-established
by Section I-F here1nabove shall prevail over the setback affect-
log the same property previously established by said Ordinance
No.257.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certHy to the adoption of
this Ordinance. and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days
from the passage thereof shall cause the same to be published
once in the Arcadia Bulletin. a newspaper of general circulation.
published and circulated in the City of Arcadia.
I HEREBY CERTIFY the. t the foregoing Ord1nance was adopted
at a regular mee>>ing of the City Council of the City of Arcadia.
