ORDINANCE NO. 844
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN SAID
CITY FOR ZONING PURPOSES AND AMENDING ORDINANCE 760 OF
SAID CITY ACCORDINGLY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, roES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOW3:

SECTION 1. That pursuant to the recommendation of the
Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia, made after public hearings
duly held and noticed, the following described real property situated
in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
to wit:
Those portions of Lot 66 and Lot 69, Santa Anita Colony, as
shown on map recorded in Book ~2, Page 87, Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County, beginning at a point in the
east line of said Lot 66, being also the west line of Santa
Anita Avenue, distant south 295 feet from the northeast corner
of said lot; thence west parallel with the north line of
said lot a distance of 865 feet; thence south parallel with
the east line of said lot to the northerly line of Las Tunas
Drive; thence easterly along the northerly line of Las Tunas
Drive and Live Oak Avenue to the west line of Santa Anita
Avenue; thence north thereon to the point of beginning,
shall be and the same is hereby reclassified and from and after the
effective date of this ordinance, said real property shall be rezoned
and established as a district in Zone C-3, under the provisions of
Ordinance 760 of said City, adopted May 3, 19~9, and said Ordinance
760 is hereby amended accordingly.
SECTION 2. That pursuant to the recommendation of the
Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia, made after public hearings
duly held and noticed, the following described real property situated
in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
to wit:
The south 117.5 feet of the north 295 feet of the east 75
feet of the west 150 feet of Lot 66, Santa Anita Colony,
as shown on map recorded in Book ~2, Page 87, Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County,
shall be and the same is hereby reclassified and from and after the
effective date of this ordinance, said real property shall be rezoned
and established as a district in Zone R-2 under the provisions of

Ordinance 760 of said City, adopted May 3, 1949, and said Ordinance
760 is hereby amended accordingly.
SECTION 3. That pursuabt to the recommendation of the Planning
Commission of the City of Arcadia, made after public hearing duly held
and noticed, the following described real property situated in the
City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, to-wit:
The South 117.5 feet of the North 295 feet of the East 865
feet of Lot 66, Santa Anita Colony, as shown on map record-
ed in Book 42, Page 87, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
County, excepting therefrom that portion thereof contained
within the following described real property:
That portion of said Lot 66, Santa Anita Colony Tract,
described as follows: Beginning at a point which is 425 feet
Westerly from the Westerly line of Santa Anita Avenue, 100
feet wide and 235 feet Southerly of the Northerly line of
said Lot b6; thence Easterly on a line parallel to the North-
erly line of said Lot 66 to a point in the Westerly line of
Santa Anita Avenue, 100 feet wide, distant Southerly 235 feet
from the Northerly line of said Lot 66; thence Northerly along
the Westerly line of Santa Anita Avenue, 100 feet wide, 235
feet to the Northerly line of said Lot 66; thence Westerly
550 feet along the Northerly line of said Lot 66 to a point
in s aid Northerly line; thence Southerly on a line parallel
to the Westerly line of Santa Anita Avenue, 100 feet wide,
a distance of 177.5 feet to a point; thence on a diagonal line
Southeasterly from s aid last described point to the point of
beginning.
shall be and the same is hereby redassified and from and after the
effective date of this Ordinance, said real property Shall be rezoned
and established as a district in Zone PR-3 under the provisions of
Ordinance NO.760 of said City, adopted May 3, 1949, and said Ordinance
No.760 is hereby amended accordingly.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of

this Ordinance and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from
the passage thereof, shall cause the same to be published once in the
Arcadia Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation published and cir-
culated in the City of Arcadia, and thirty (30) days from and after the
final passage there~f said Ordinance shall take effect and be in force.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held
on the l'th day of March 1952, by the affirmative vote of at least
three Councilmen, to-wit:
