HomeMy WebLinkAbout0845 ORDINANCE No.845 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, HE-CLASSIFYING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN SAID CITY FOR ZONING - PURPOSES AND AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.760 OF SAID CITY AC- CORDINGLY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES ORDAIB AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to the recollllll8ndation of the Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia made after public hearings duly held and noticed, and after public hearing by and before this Council duly noticed and regularly held as required by law, the following described real property situated in the d:tty of Arcad1a, County of Los Angeles, State of Callforn1a, to-wit: That portion of Lot 66 of the Santa Anita Colony Tract in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, constituting approximately 2.9 acres, 'and described as follows: Beginning at a point which is 425 feet Westerly from the Westerly line of Santa Anita Avenue, 100 feet wide, and 235 feet Southerly of the Northerly line of said Lot 66; thence Easterly on a line parallel to the Wortherly line of said Lot 66 to 8 point in the Westerly line of Santa Anita Avenue, 100 feet Wide, distant Southerly 235 feet from the Northerly line of said Lot 66; thence Northerly along the Westerly line of Santa Anita Avenue, 100 feet Wide, 235 feet to the Northerly line of said Lot 66; thence Westerly 550 feet along the Northerly line of said Lot 66 to a point in said Northerly line; thence Southerly on a line parallel to the Westerly line of Santa Anita Avenue, 100 feet wide, a distance of 177.5 teet to a point. thence on a diagonal line Southeasterly from said iast described point to the point of beginning, shall be and the same is hereby re-classified, and from and after the effective date of this Ordinance the aforesaid real property shall be rezoned and established as a district in ZO~8 R-2, under the provisions of Ordinance No.760 of said City, adopted May 3, 1949, and aaid Ord1nance No.76o is hereby amended accordingly. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from the passage thereof, ahall cause the same to be published onoe in the Arcadia Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation published and ciroulated in the City ot Arcadia, and thirty (30) days from and atter the final passage thereof said Ordinance shall take effect and be in force. -1- O/u:.1 y.2/.:;-" ,!J I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance vas adopted . at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held on the 15th day of April 1952, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to-vit: AYES: Councilmen Do..., Hulse, Kennett, Nottingham and Schm~cher NOES: None ABSENT: None /f!L Ci ty Clerk of SIGNED:AND APPROVED this ~hday of Apilll, 1952.
