HomeMy WebLinkAboutSupporting Documents - Left Side err ORDINANCE 1857 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA REZONING THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 260 WEST HUNTINGTON DRIVE FROM R-1 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO S-2 (PUBLIC PURPOSE) THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the property located at 260 West Huntington Drive in the City of Arcadia hereinafter described and presently classified R-1, Single-Family Residential, is hereby reclassified into S-2 Public Purpose and from and after the effective date of this ordinance, said real property shall be so zoned and subject to the restrictions imposed by the provisions of the zoning regulations of said City, and the map contained in Section 9233.10 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby amended to reclassify and designate the described property as a district in Zone S-2. Said property is described as follows: That portion of Lot 5 of Tract No. 949 in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California as per map recorded in Book 17, Page 13 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County described as follows: Beginning at a point in the Southeasterly line of said Lot 5 distant thereon South 38 degrees 33' 00" West 1773.93 feet from the most Easterly corner of said lot; thence along the southeasterly line of said lot, South 38 degrees 33' 00" West 40.00 feet to the most Easterly corner of the land conveyed to Los Angeles Turf Club by Parcel 2 of the deed recorded in Book 12619, Page 275 of Official Records; thence along the boundary line of the land last described, the following courses and distances, North 51 degrees 27' 00" West 30 feet; South 38 degrees 33' 00" West 150 feet and North 51 degrees, 27' 00" West 481.12 feet to the Southeasterly line of Huntington Drive as described in the deed to the City of Arcadia, recorded in Book 9396, Page 145 of -1- 1857 ro.d Official Records; thence North Southwester) 38 degrees 33' 00• East along said line of Huntington Drive, 190.00 feet; thence South 1 degrees 27' 00`East 511.12 feet to the true point of 5 containing 2.126 acres more or less. g SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said sum of Thirty Nine Thousand Three Hundred Twenty Pour Dollars ($39,324.00) be returned to said pater Department Depreciation and Reserve Fund by transferring thereto an equal amount from the Admissions Tax Fund , which latter fund now amounts to the sum of Eighty One Thousand Six Hundred Tv enty Seven and 25/100 (S8l,(27.25) , as soon as the proceeds of such Adrission Tax Fund become available to the City of Arca''ie. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon the furnishing to the City of Arcadia of appropriate evidence of the ability of the vendor to grant to the City a clear and marketable title to said real property, through escrow or otherwise, the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Arcadia bey and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute in the name of and on behalf of the said City that certain Agreement dated May 6, 1947, between Rancho Santa Anita, Inc. , a corporation, as vendor of the afore- mentioned real property, and the City of Arcadia, a municipal Corporation, as purchaser thereof, relating to the use of said property for municipal or public purposes, and that the City of Arcadia accept from Rancho Santa Anita, Inc. , a corporation, Grant Deed dated lay 6, 1947, conveying to the City of Arcadia the aforesaid reel property situated in the City of Arcadia and described more particularly in said Grant Deed. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
