HomeMy WebLinkAbout4890 . u RESOLUTION NO. 4890 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, ,CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CONSIDER THE GRANTING OF A FRANCHISE TO SIX STAR CABLEVISION, INC" DOING BUSINESS AS SIX STAR CABLEVISION OF ARCADIA, TO CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN AND OPERATE A CABLE TELEVISION SYSTEM IN THE CITY, STATING THE TERMS UPON WHICH IT SHALL BE GRANTED AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING THEREON, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1, That the City Council of the City of Arcadia does hereby declare its intention to consider the granting of a non-exclusive franchise to SIX STAR CABLEVISION, INC., a California corporation, doing business as SIX STAR CABLEVISION OF ARCADIA, authorizing said corporation to construct, maintain and operate a cabl~ television system for the entire City of Arcadia south of Foothill Boulevard and such other areas as may be subsequently annexed to the City, SECTION 2. That said non-exclusive franchise may be granted for a period of ten (10) years upon the terms and conditions set forth in Article VII, Chapter 7 of the Arcadia Municipal Code, and as set forth in Six Star Cablevision's Cable Television Proposal for City of Arcadia dated January 23, 1980, which is available for public inspection at the office of the City Clerk, SECTION 3. Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, the 18th day of March, 1980, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M, of said day, in the Council Chamber of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, at the City Hall of said City, 240 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, California, any and all persons having any interest in or any objection to the granting of a franchise to SIX STAR CABLEVISION, INC., doing business as SIX STAR CABLEVISION OF ARCADIA, for the construction, maintenance and operation of a cable television system within the City of Arcadia as described herein, may appear before the City Council at said time and place and be heard thereon, SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause the same to be published at least once in the Arcadia Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation, for that purpose, not less than ten (10) days prior to the date of the public hearing set forth herein, - 1 - 4890 t HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held on the 4th day of March, 1980, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Councilmen Gi1b, Parry, Pellegrino,'Sae1id and Margett None None City Clerk of tne City of Arcadia SIGNED AND APPROVED this 4th day of March, 1980. ~4~ City Clerk ( SEAL) - 2 - 4890
