HomeMy WebLinkAbout5102 -vV';j' -~-'\.. ... . \\..0 II RESOLUTION NO. 5102 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA URGING THE CALIFORNIA TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO EXPE- DITIOUSLY SELECT THE BEST ROUTE FOR COMPLETING THE LONG BEACH FREEWAY WHEREAS, the completion of the Long Beach Freeway is critical to the proper economic and social development of the local communities, the Region and the State; and , WHEREAS, the completion of the Long Beach Freeway is crucial to the proper development and operation of the Region's highway and transit systems; and WHEREAS, AB 1623 has established a process for the orderly resolution of the dispute over the routing of the last 4.5 mile segment of the Long Beach Freeway; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Arcadia, that Caltrans and the California Transportation Commission after careful consideration of all pertinent transportation, eeonomic, environmental and social factors expeditiously select the best route for completing the Long Beach Freeway; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the State of California com- plete the Long Beach Freeway at the earliest time possible whether , agreement of the route alignment is obtained or not.
