A RESOLUTIQN OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION AND ABANDONl.ffiNT OF
PORTIOrS OF CERTAIN PUBLIC HIGHWAYS IN SAID CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO RESOLVE AS

SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience re- I

certain public highways situate in the City of Arcadia, County of !

Beginning at a point 63.83 feet South from the Northeast II
corner of Lot 2 and on the Easterly line of said Lot 2, Tract 949,
as per Map recorded in Map Book 17, Page 13, Records of said Coun-I
ty; thence North 510 341 West and ~arallel to the Northeasterly I
line of Lots 2 and 1, Tract No. 949, for a distance of 1127.59 feet;
thence on a circular curve to the left, having a radius of 2864.93:
feet for a distance of 853.33 feet; thence North 680 381 West for I
a distance of 922.6 feet; thence on a circular curve to the left, !
having a radius of 1432.69 feet for a distance of 524.58 feet; I
thence North 890 371 West for a dist~~ce of 7392.51 feet; thence ,
on a circular curve to the left, having a radius of 1350.feet, f6r,
a distance of 504.2 feet, which point is the West line of Lot 6, "
Traat No. 949, said point being 143.06 feet South from the North- I
west corner of said Lot 6. :

quire and it is the intention of said City Council to close up,
vacate and abandon for street purposes certain portions of those
Los Angeles, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the center line of Orange Avenue
and at the Easterly end of a circular curve having for its redius
1432.69 feet in Lot 1, Tract No. 949, City of Arcadia, County of
Los Angeles, Stat e of Cal ifornia., as .;ler Map recorded in I.;ap Book
17, Page 13, Records of said County; thence South 680 381 East
for a distance of 162.6 feet; thence on a circular curve to the I
left, having a radius of 478.34 feet, for a distance of 375.97 feei;
thence North 660 151 East to the intersection of the Southerly line
of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad. I
The aforesaid description is for the center line of said
Orange Avenue, having its outside boundaries 50 feet either side
thereof of the aforesaid described center line and at right angles
thereto;
Beginning at a point 50.12 feet Northerly from the South-
west corner of Lot 6 and on the West line of said Lot 6, Tract No.
949, as ~er Map recorded in Map Book 17, Page 13, Records of said \
County; thence in an Easterly direction and 50 feet Northerly and
;Jarallel to the Southerly line of Lots 6 and 5, of said Tract No.
949, to the Northerly line of said Lot 5, which point is 63.93
feet West of the Northeast corner of said Lot 5, Tract No. 949.
The aforessid description is for the center line of Hunt-

to be known aJ~Kssessment District for that purpose, are hereby
fixed as the exterior boundary lines of Tract No. 949,in the
City of Arcadia, eounty of Los Angeles, State of California, as
per map recorded in Book 17, Page 13 of Maps, Records of said
County.

Arcadia shall post Notices of the passage of this Resolution at
the places and in the manner and form as required by 18$ and
shall also cause a Notice similar in substance to be published !

by four successive insertions in The Arcadia News-Journal, a week+
ly newspaper published and circulated in said City of Arcadia
and hereby designated for that purpose.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on the
16th. day of October, 1929, by the affirmative vote of at least
three Councilmen, to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen: BOlz, Granville, Multer and
Schermerhorn,
NOES: None,
ABSENT: Councilman Walshe,
and signed and approved this 16th. day of October, 1929.
