HomeMy WebLinkAbout0559 ~ t .~ ~ t . ! .~.' ..... . ,"'- f' RESOLUTION NO. lJlJ9 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AIm BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ARCADI~ DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC IN- TEREST AND NECESSITY REQUIRE AND DEMMjD THE ACQUISITION BY SAID CITY OF ARCADIA OF CERTAIN LAND FOR PUBLIC-HIGH- WAY PURPOSES, AND DETERMINING THAT THE LOCATION THEREOF IS MOST COMPATIBLE WITH THE GREATEST PUBLIC GOOD AND THE LEAS']' PRIVATE INJURY. THE CITY COUNCIL AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CI:l'Y OF ARCADIA DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Sec. 1. That the public interest and necessity require and demand the acquisition bY,said City of Arcadia of land for a certain municipal improvement, to-wit, land for the widening by said City of Arcadia of a public highway knovm as Foothill Boulevard in the said City of Arcadia. Sec. 2. That the following described real property is ne- ' cessary for the widening of said public highway by said City of Ar- cadia, to~wit: PARCEkNO. 1: Those portions of Lots 4 and 5 of Tract No. 948'a8 shown on map recorded in Book'17~ page 21 of Maps, records of Los Angeles'County, and that portion of the Santa Anita Rancho, as shown on map recorded in Book 1; page's 97 'and -98 of Patents, records of said county, within the follovling?-escribed boundaries: Beginning at the southeasterly corner of said Lot 5; thence westerly along the southerly line of said last mentioned lot and 'the westerly prolongation thereof and westerly along'the southerly line of said Lot 4 a distance of 5300.20 feet to the easterly line of that portion of said Lot 4 conveyed by deed to Anita Baldwin McClaughry, recorded in Book 5976, page 91 of Deeds, records of said county; thence northerly along said easterly line 15.04 feet to'a line which is parallel with and 15 feet northerly, measured at right angles, from the southerly line of said' Lot 4; thence easterly along said parallel line 5299.17 feet to the easterly line of Lot 4, aforesaid; thence southerly in a direcG line 15 feet to the point ot begimling. PARCEL NO.2: That portion of Lot 7 of Tract No. 948, as shown on map recorded in Book 17, page 21 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County, within the following described boundaries: Beginning at the northeasterly corner of Lot 1 of Los Robles de Santa Anita, as shown on map recorded in d ~ J "" ~ ./ .,. . 4'~'" ~"" /~... " Book 33, page 20 of Maps, records of said county; thence easterly in a direct line 1412.65 feet to the northeasterly corner of said Lot 7; thence southerly along the easterly line of said last mentioned lot a distance of 15 feet to a line which is parallel with and 15 feet southerly, mea- sured at right angles, from the northerly line of said Lot 7 of said tract; thence westerly along said parallel line 1413.78 feet to the easterly line of aforesaid Lot 1; thence northerly in a di- rect line 15 feet to the point of beginning. PARCEL NO.3: That portion of Lot 6 of Tract No. 948, as shown on map recorded in Book 17, page 21 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County, within the following described boundaries: Beginning at the intersection of the northerly line of said Lot 6 with the easterly line of that certain parcel of land conveyed by deed to Carl M. Einhart et'ux, recorded in Book 7830, page 269, of Official Records of said coUnty; thence easterly.along said northerly line 287.0 feet more or less to the wester- ly line of that certain parcel of land conveyed by deed to Charles Warring Leffingwell, recorded in Book 6900, page 328 of Official Records of said county; thence southerly along said westerly line 15 feet to a line which is parallel with and 15 feet southerly, measured at right angles, from said nor- therly line; thence westerly along said parallel line 287.0 feet more or less to said easterly line; thence northerly' in a direct line 15 feet to the point of beginning. PARCEL NO.4: That portion of Lot 6 of Tract No. 948, as shown on map recorded in Book 17, page 21 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County, within the following described boundar.:l:es: Beginning at the northeasterly corner of said Lot 6; thence southerly along the easterly line of said lot a distance of 15 feet to a line which is parallel with and 15 feet southerly, measured at right angles, from the northerly line of said lot; thence westerly along said parallel line 2641.88 feet to the easterly line of that certain parcel of land conveyed by deed to Charles Warring Leffingwell, recorded in Book 6900, page 328 of Official Records of said county; thence northerly along said last mentioned easterly line 15 feet to said northerly line; thence easterly in a di- rect line 2641.88 feet to the point of beginning. Sec. 3.
