HomeMy WebLinkAbout0911 RESOLUTION NO. 911 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DECLARING AND DETERMINING THAT IN ITS OPINION THE REBUILDING OF A PUMP HEAD AND FURNISHING A MOTOR AND OTHER SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS AND DOING THE WORK AND FURNISHING THE LABOR THEREFORE FOR WELL NO 2A MAY BE PURCHASED MORE ECONOMICALLY IN THE OPEN MARKET AND THE \lORK DONE BY DAY LABOR. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Whereas, the City Council has heretofore advertised for bids, for relmilding a pump head and furnishing a motor and other supplies and ma torials and doing the work and furnishing the labor necessary therefore for No. 2A Well, and Whereas, bids were received and considered by the City Council:' NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arcadia hereby declare.s and determines that in its opinion the work of rebuilding the pump head and furnishing a motor and that the work and furnishing the supplies and materials in question may be purchased and performed more economically in the open market and by day labor. SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. I hereby cel~tify that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meet;ing of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on the 15th day e)f March, 1938, by the affirmative vote of at least four Councilmen, to-wit: AYES: Councilmen Griffitts, Hoffman, Hudson and McLean NOES: None ABSENT: None -~~~ Signed and approved this 15th day of March, 1938. ~ Mayor ATTEST: ~~~
