HomeMy WebLinkAbout0913 RESOLUTION NO. 913 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA REVOKING A PERMIT TO KEEP MORE THAN FOUR DOGS AT 1012 HOLLY AVENUE, ISSUED ON FEBRUARY l5, 1938. The City Counl~il of the City of Arcadia does resolve as follows: Whereas, on February 15, 1938, a petition for a permit to keep more than four dogs over 250 feet from a dwelling occupied by humans other than the own,er of the dogs, was filed with the City Council, and Whereas, said petition was signed by a large number of persons owning property or residing near the place where the dogs were to be kept, and Whereas, the lnembers of the City Council were of the opinion that all of the property owners near the place where the dogs were to be kept had signed the petition and that there would be no objection to keeping dogs on the premises, and Whereas if thl~ members of the City Council had known that persons owning property adjoining the property where the dogs were to be kept had not been notified of the petition and that they would have objected if they had known, and Whereas, since the permit was granted, these persons have received notice and have appeared before this Council and protested, NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Arcadia hereby for the reasons abl)ve stated and other reasons, revokes the permit, granted on Februar;y 15, 1938 to R. Donald Garman to keep more than four dogs at No. lOl2 Holly Avenue. The City ClerIc shall cert1f'y to the adoption of this Resolution. I hereby cert:lfy that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held on March 15, 1938, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to-wit: AYES: Councilmen Griffitts, Hoftman, Hudson and McLean NOES: None ABSENT: None -1- --U~~~ / Signed and approved this 15th day of March, 1938. ~~.
