RESOLUTION NO. 914.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
APPLYING TO THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING
FUNDS FOR THE pURPOSE OF MAINTAINING COLORADO BOULEVARD AND HUNT-
INGTOF DRIVE, STATE HIGHWAYS PASSING THROUGH THE CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
That whereas, Colorado Boulevard and Hunt-
ington Drive are state highways passing through the City of Arcadia;
and
iVhereas, the City of Arcadia under agreement with the
Division of Highways of the Department of Public Works of the State
of California, maintains State highways passing through the City of
Arcadia; and
Whereas, the funds received from the one-fourth of a cent
gasoline tax money from the State of California for maintenance and
construction work on Colorado Boulevard and Huntington Drive, have
been exhausted; and
vVhereas, on account of the recent floods the City of
Arcadia incurred expenses of more than Fourteen Hundred Fifty Dollars
($l450.00) for cleaning up the above mentioned State highways;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, by the City Council of
the City of Arcadia, that this City Council hereby requests of the
Honorable Frank F. Merriam, Governor of the State of California,
sufficient money to carry on our maintenance of Colorado Boulevard
and Huntington D:['ive until such time as the City of Arcadia is en-
titled to receive its 1939-l94l biennium money.
SECTIO:,J 2:
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
a t a regular meeting of the City Council of the (,i t;y of Arcadia held

on the 5th day of April, 1938, by the affirmative vote of at least
three councilmen, to-wit:
