A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY Or' ARCADIA
DECLA.RING 1% INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF A
CERTAIN ALLEY SITUATED ON THE NORTHERLY SIDE OF FLORAL AVENUE IN
TRACT 7820 IN TRE CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLO.i:.i :
SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience require
and the City Council of the City of Arcadia hereby declares its in-
tention to close up, vacate and abandon for street purposes all of
that certain alley described as foll~lS:
All that portion of the alley situated on the Northerly side
of Floral Avenue in Tract 7820 as per map book 83, page 30 of Maps,
records of Los Angeles County, and further described as follows:
All th~t portion of the alley situated on the Westerly
line of Lot 6 and the Easterly lines of Lots 1 to 5 inclusive, all
of said lots bei~ in Tract 7820 as heretofore described. The City
of Arcadia hereby reserves the right to lay, place or install and
maintain public utilities in said alley.
SECTION 2. That the exterior boundaries of the district of
lands in said Cit;y of Arcadia which will be affected by said work or
improvement or wllich will be benefited by the same, and to be assessed
to pay the damages, costs and expenses thereof, and to be known as
the assessment dtstrict for that purpose, are hereby fixed and
established as tt~ exterior boundaries of Traot 7820 of the City of
Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California as per map book
83, page 30 of Maps,

Notice is hereby given that on the 21st day
of February, 1939, at eight O'clock P. L:. of said day in the Council
Chamber of said City Council in the City Hall in the City of Arcadia
any and all perso~s having any objections to said proposeJ improvement
of said property lnay appear before said City Council and show cause
why such improvem.~nt should not be made and said alley vacated and
abandoned.
SECTION 4., That the Street Superintendent of said City of
Arcadia shall post notices of the passa3e of this Resolution at

the places and in the manner as required by law and shall cause
a notice similar in substance to be published for a period of
ten days in the Arcadia Tribune, a daily newspaper published and
circulated in said City o~ Arcadia and hereby designated for that
purpose.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was'adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Arcadia hehl on the 17th day of January, 1939, by the affirmative
vote of at Ieallt threo councilmen, to-wit:
