THE CI'l'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DETERMINING THE NATURE, LOCATION AND EXTENT OF A PROPOSED SEVIER SYSTEl5 TO BE LAID AND ALLEYS TO BE PAVED IN A PORTION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, DEFINING THE BOUNDARIES OR EXTENT OF THE DISTHICT OR LANDS TO BE SPECIALLY ASSESSED TO PAY A PBRTION OF ~~HE COST THEREOF AND DETERl>lINING THE STATUTE UNDER WHICH SAID PROCEEDINGS SHALL BE CONDUCTED. THE CITY comlCn. OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOV/S: SECTION 1 That the Public interest, convenience and t'l"\Ji-~'J necessity^tbat certain alleys in the City of Arcadia be paved and that sev'er lines be laid along certain streets and alleys in said Cit:r, and that a sewage disposal plant be constructed in said City. SECTION 2. -- That pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California designated as the "Special Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931", as amended, it is hereby determined that the nature, location, and extent of the proposed sewer lines, dis- pOllal plant and paving of alleys shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore prepared by the City Engineer of the City of Ardadia, said plans being designated as ?lans S-l, Sheets 1 to 7 inclusive, and which were on the l7thday of January, 1939, filed with the Clerk of this Council, and referenc.a is hereby made to said plans and specifications so fileu for all particulars relative to the nature, location and extent of said proposed improvements an.1/or Acquisition, and it is he:t'eby ordered that said plans and specifications be made open to the inspection of any person or persons desirihg to inspect t-Je same. SECTION 3. That the boundaries of the District to be specially assessed to pay a portion of the cost of said improvement and/ or acquisition is described as follows: ............ ~ All that portion of the said City of Arcadia, County of Los Anseles, State of CaJifornia, included within the following described exterior lines, to-wit: BeginninG at the intersection of the center lines of Santa Anita Ave::lUe and Alta Street, as shown on Map of Santa Anita Tract, recorded in Book 15, Pages 89 and 90, lliscell- aneous Re~ords of Said County; thence Easterly along the center l~1e of Alta Street and it's easterly prolongation to the Eal~terly line of Second Avenue; thence Southerly alonG the Easterly line of Second Avenue to a point distant 6l2.75 feet southerly from the Southerly line of Huntington Drive (100 feet wide); thence Easterly parallel with and 612.75 feet Southerly from the Southerly line of HuntinBton Drive to 1;he Westerly line of Third Avenue; thence Northerly along said Westerly line of Third Avenue to the Southwesterly line of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company's right of vrayj thence Northwesterly along the Southwesterly right of way line to it's intersection with the Easterly prolongatlon of thecenter line of Wheeler Avenue; thence Westerly t(long saidprolongation and along the center line of Vfueeler Avenue to it's intersection with the center line of aforesE.id Santa Anita Avenue; thence Southerly thereon to the polnt of beginning. The foregoinG description is general only. A plat or ;~ap of said District indicating by a boundary line the extent of the lands included in the proposed assesement district is on file in the office of the City Engineer of the City of Arcadia. Reference is hereby Qade to said Plat or ~ap for a further, full and complete description of said Assessment District, which said Plat or Uap is designated as Assessment District TI-27, and said map so on file shall govern for all details as to t:-le extent of such Assessm~nt District. SECTION 4. SECTION 5. IT is hereby determined that the- proposed improvement and/or acquisition and all proceedings for the issuance and paJment of Street I~provement Bonds representing assessments for the cost thereof, anu provisions for all other acts necessary to conduct the proposed proceedings shall be conducted under the provisions of an Act ~f the Le~islature of '~ of the State c,f California designated as the "Improvement Act of 19l1n, approved 1911, as amended. SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resoluticn.
