RESOLUTION OF INTENTION No. 980.
A RESOLUT!ON OF THE CITY COU1~CIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
DECLARING IT'S INTENTION TO ESTABLISH SETBACK LINES ON PORTIONS OF
CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE
AS rOLL0\7S:
SECTIOn 1. That the Planning COllDllission of the City of
Arcadia has recommended to the City Council of the City of Arcadia
that setback lines be established on portions of the streets herein-
after described in this Resolution.
SECTION 2. That the public interest and convenience
require, and it is the intention of the City Council of the City
of Arcadia to e:ltablish setback lines upon the following described
streets in the City of Arcadia:
(a) A setback line on each side of Colorado Place distant
75 feet from tho center line of said street, from Huntington Drive to
Colorado Boulevllrd.
distant 75 feet from the center line of said street, from Colorado
Boulevard to thEl Westerly c1.ty limits, e;:cepting ,therefrom any
portion of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Rail\'lay right-of-flay.
(d) A setback line 'on each side of Second Avenue distant
25 feet from the property line, from Huntin~ton Drive to Foothill
Boulevard, exceptinB therefrom any property situated in zones "D",
"E", "F" or "G"" as defined in Ordinance No. 170 of the City of
Arcadia, or any amendment thereto.
(e) j. setback line on each side of La Porte Street distant
25 feet from thE' property line, from First Avenue to Second Avenue.
SECTION 3. Notice is hereby r;iven that on the 15th day
of AU3Ust, 1939, at 8:00 o,'clock P.M. of said day, in the Council
Chamber of said City Council in the City Hall of said City of Arcadia,
any and all peN,ons havin~ any objections to said proposed setback

lines may appear before said City Council and show cause why said
proposed setback lines should not be established in accordance with
this Resolution.
SECTIO~. The Superintendent of Streets shall post or cause
to be posted along such portions of each of said streets along which
it is proposed to fix and establish said setback lines, at not more
than three hundred (3001) feet in distance apart, but not less than
three (3) in all, on each of said streets, notices of the passage
of this Resolution of Intention.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be published once
in the Arcadia Tribune and News, a newsp~per of seneral circulation,
published and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and hereby desiGnated
for that pur~ose.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
adopted at a meeting of the City Council of the City
of Arcadia, held on the day of , 1939, by the
affirmative vote of at least three councilmen, to-wit:
