A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DECLARING IT'S INTENTICN TO ESTABLISH SETBACK LINES on PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA; AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 980, ADOPTED AUGUST 1, 1939. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLO':JS: SECTION 1. That the Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia has recJmmended to, the City Council of the City of Arcadia that setback lines be established on portions of the streets herein- after described in this Resolution. SECTION 2. That the public interest and convenience require, and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Arcadia to establish setback lines upon the follo\7ing described streets in the City of Arcadia: (a) A setback line on each side of Colorado place distant 75 feet from and ,parallel to the center line of said street, from Huntington Drive to Colorado Boulevard. (b) A setback line on each side of Colorado Boulevard distant 75 feet from and parallel to the center line of said street, from Santa Anita Avenue to Colorado Street. (c) A setback line on each side of Colorado Street distant 75 feet from and parallel to the center line of said street, from Colorado Boulevard to the westerly city limits, excepting therefrom any portion of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway right-or-way. (d) A setback line distant 25 feet westerly from and parallel to thE' westerly line of Second Avenue from Huntington Drive to Foothill Boulevard, excepting therefrom any property situated in zones "D", "E" l' "F" or "G", as defined in Ordinance No. 170 of the City of Arcadia, or any amendment thereto. (e) A setback line distant 25 ~eet easterly from and parallel to thll easterly line of Second Avenue from Huntin,3ton Drive to Foothill Boulevard, excepting therefrom any property situated in zones "D", "E"" "F" or "G", as defined in Ordinance No. 170 of the City of Arcadia, or any amendment thereto. -1- (f) A setback line distant 25 feet northerly from and parallel to the northerly line of La Porte street, from First Avenue to Second Aven~e. (g) A setback line distant 25 feet southerly from and parallel to th~ southerly line of La Porte Street, from First Avenue to Second Avenue. (h) A setback line on each side of Colorado Boulevard distant 75 feel: from and parallel to the center line of said street, from Second AVElnUe to Fifth Avenue. SECTION 3. Notice is hereby given that on the 5th day of September, 1939, at 8:00 o'clock P.W. of said day, in the Council Chamber of said City Council in the City Hall of said City of Arcadia, any ~~d all persons havin3 any objections to said proposed setback lines ::nay appear before said City Council and ShO\'1 cause why said proposed setback lines should not be estaQlished in accordance ~ith this Resolution. SECTION 4. The Superintendent of Streets shall post or cause to be posted alone such portions of each of said streets alons which it is proposed to fix and establish said setback lines, at not more tcan three hundred (3001) feet in distance apart, but not less than three (3) in all, on each of s,aid streets, notices of the passa3el of this Resolution of Intention. SEC~~ION 5. That Resolution of Intention No. 990, entitled "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Arcadia declarins it's intemt:1.oIl to establish setback lines on portions of certain streets in tho City of Arcadian, adopted at a reGular meetin3 of this Council (,n Au...,"Ust 1, 1939, is hereby declared rescinded and cancelled and declared to be of no further force or effect. SEC'rION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be published once in the Arcadia Tribune and Ne~s, a newspaper of General circulation, published and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and hereby -2- desi;:wated for that purpose.
