RESOLUTION NO. 5052
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY_~OUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
ESTABLISHINC FEES FOR BUILDING PERMITS, GRADING-PLAN
CHECKING, GRADING PERMITS, - PLUMBING PERMITS, ELECTRICAL
PERMITS, MECHANICAL PERMITS, MOVE EXAMINATION, RELOCATION
PERMIT, REMOVAL PERMIT, DEMOLITION PERMIT, SIGN PERMIT
AND SWIMMING POOL PERMIT.
The City Council of the City of Arcadia does hereby resolve, find and deter-
mine as follows:
Section 1. That the fees set forth in this resolution are necessary for the
purpose of defraying the City of Arcadia's expenditures and costs for the purposes
set forth in this resolution.
Section 2. Pursuant to Section 8040 of the Arcadia Municipal Code, the fee
for filing an application for a variance to the Codes shall be $105.30.
Section 3. Pursuant to Section 8130.5 of the Arcadia Municipal Code, the
fee for filing an application for a building permit shall be as set forth in the
following schedule:

Section 5. Pursuant to Section 8130.26(b) of the Arcadia Municipal Code

ELECTRICAL PLAN CHECKING FEES
When service switch size exceeds 400 amps or 300 volts or
when connected load exceeds 400 amps, a plan checking fee
equal to 75% of the electrical permit fee shall be paid to
the Building Official at the time plans are submitted for
plan check.
ANNUAL ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE PERMIT
NOTE: Maintenance permits are only issued to manufacturing
plants, commercial establishments, hospitals and similar occu-
pancies having duly licensed journeymen electricians as perma-
nent employees.
This annual permit does not absolve the organization from any
fees, inspections or other requirements of this Code as pertains
to electrical :l,nstallations.

Section 8. Pursuant to Section 8432 of the Arcadia Municipal Code the fee
for filing an application for a mechanical permit shall be as set forth in the
following schedule.

NOTE: This fee shall not apply to an air-handling unit
which is a portion of a factory-assembled appliance,
cooling unit, evaporative cooler or absorption unit for
which a permit is required elsewhere in this code.

14. For each evaporative cooler other than portable type.
15, For each ventilation fan connected to a single duct.
16. For each ventilation system which is not a portion of
any heating or air conditioning system authorized by a
permit.

Section 9. Pursuant to Section 8632.4 of the Arcadia Municipal Code the fee
for filing an application for a move examination shall be seven dollars ($7.00)
for each one hundred (100) square feet or fraction thereof of floor space, whether
usable or not, contained within the building proposed to be relocated.
Section 10. Pursuant to Section 8633 of the Arcadia Municipal Code the fee
for filing an application for a relocation permit shall be $11.25 per one thousand
dollars ($1,000.00) valuation, or fraction thereof, of the building to be relocated.
For the purpose of computing such fee, valuation shall include the reasonable cost
of moving such structure and the reasonable value of all new construction, alter-
ations, additions, repairs, replacements and foundations in connection therewith.
Section 11. Pursuant to Section 8642 of the Arcadia Municipal Code the fee
for filing an application for a removal permit shall be $147.40.
Section 12. Pursuant to Section 8652 of the Arcadia Municipal Code the fee
for filing an application for a demolition permit shall be as set forth in the
following schedule:

Section 13. Pursuant to Section 8712 of the Arcadia

Section 15. This Resolution shall become effective July 6, 1982.
Section 16. Neither the adoption of this resolution nor the repeal hereby
of any resolution shall in any manner be construed as affecting any such fee, nor
to affect the validity of any bond or cash deposit in lieu thereof, posted, filed
or deposited therefor and all rights and obligations thereunder appertaining shall
continue in full force and effect.
Section 17. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion
of this resolution is, for any reason, held to be invalid or unconstitutional by
the decision of any COurt or competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect
the validity of the remaining portions of this resolution. The City Council of the
City of Arcadia hereby declares that it would have adopted this resolution and each
section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of
the fact that anyone or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases
or portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 18, The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
Section 19. The City Council hereby finds that the fees specified in this
.resolution will not produce an amount in excess of that estimated to fund the opera-
tion of the City of Arcadia Building Division. Based on the foregoing, the City
Council hereby finds this resolution is exempt from the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act as specified in Title 14 Section 15079,1 of the California
Administrative Code.
