HomeMy WebLinkAbout5069 '\0 II RESOLUTION NO. 5069 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR THE PROPERTIES AT 702-1012 NORTH FIRST AVENUE AND 105 HAVEN AVENUE (AREA SOUTH OF FOCTH1LL BOULEVARD, EAST OF FIRST AVENUE, NORTH OF HAVEN AVENUE AND WEST OF THE SANTA ANITA WASH) FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL (0-6 du/acl TO MULTIPLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL (7+ du/ac). WHEREAS, the City Cbuncil of the City of Arcadia held a duly noticed public hearing on September 21, 1982 for the purpose of considering changing the General Plan Map land use element from single-family residential 10-6 du/ac) to multiple-family residential 17+ du/acl for the properties commonly known as 702- 1012 North First Avenue and 105 Haven Avenue (area south of Foot- hill Boulevard, east of First Avenue, north of Hayen Avenue and west of Santa Anita Wash), more particularly des~ribed as follows: Lot 1 of Parcel Map 6013 in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per Map recorded in Book 70, Pages 39 and 40 of Parcel Maps in the Office of Said County Recorder; and Portions of Lots 6, 9 and 12 of Block 89 of the Santa Anita Tract as per map recorded in Book 34, Pages 41 and 42 of Miscellaneous Records in the Office of the Los Angeles County Recorder. WHEREAS, all interested persons were given full oppor- tunity to be heard and to present evidence; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That we hereby adopt as findings of fact all staff reports on file in the Arcadia Planning Department and the City Clerk's office for G.P. 82-1. -1- 5069 Section 2. That the General Plan designation shall be amended from Single-Family Residential (0-6 du/ac) to Mutliple- Family Residential (7+du/acl for the properties at 702-1012 North First Avenue and 105 Haven Avenue, (area south of Foothill Boule- vard, east of First Avenue, north of Haven Avenue and west of Santa Anita Wash). See attached Exhibit "A". Section 3. That the City Council hereby finds: A. That the Planning Commission at a duly noticed public hearing on August 24, 1982 adopted Resolution 1206 recommending approval of amending the General Plan for said properties from single family residential (0-6 du/ac) to multiple family residen- tial (7+du/acl. B. That a Negative Declaration has been prepared and ~iled on said General Plan change. C. That the amendment of the properties on First Avenue and Haven Avenue would provide consistency between the area's existing zoning classification and its general plan designation, and that the public necessity, convenience and general welfare justify the proposed change. Section 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. 1 HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on the2lst of Septemb~r, 1982, by the affirmative vote of at least three councilmen, to wit: -2- 5069 AYES: Councilmen Dring, Haltom, Hannah, Lojeski & Pellegrino NOES: None ABSENT: None City Clerk Arcadia d.
