RESOLUTION NO. 4908
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARCADIA ESTABLISHING FEES FOR ELECTRICAL
PERMITS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, FIND,
AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the fees set forth in this resolution are necessary
for the purpose of defraying the City of Arcadia's expenditures and costs
for the purposes set forth in this resolution.
Section 2. Pursuant to Section 8330 of the Arcadia Municipal Code,
the fee for filing an application for an electrical permit shall be as
set forth in the following schedule.
FEES FOR ELECTRICAL PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS
Permit issuance fee for each permit
$ 10.00
Where additional outlets or equipment have not been in-
cluded in the original permit, a supplemental permit fee
is required.
SERVICES
3.50
For residential service of 600 volts or less and
not over 400 amps in rating, including one meter
each

For each commercial service 200 amps or less.
including one meter each

For each commercial service, 200 amps to 1,000
amps, including one meter each

For commercial services over 600 volts or over
1,000 amps in rating, including one meter each

NEW RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION
In addition to the fees for permit issuance and services
as outlined in permit issuance and services:
For each new single, duplex and multiple family
dwelling - for each square foot of gross floor area
For buildings accessory to new residential buildings
constructed in conjunction with those residential
buildings - for each square foot of gross floor area
OTHER CONSTRUCTION
In addition to the fees for permit issuance and services
outlined above, fees for residential additions and altera-
tions and other buildings shall be as follows:
Outlets and Fixtures
For receptacle, switch, lighting outlets
First 20 each
Additional each
For lighting fixtures, sockets or other lamp devices
First 20 each
Additional each
For pole or platform mounted lighting fixtures such
as tennis courts, parking lot standards and walkway
lighting fixtures

For fixed residential appliances not exceeding 1 hp each
For fixed factory wired non-residential appliances not
exceeding 1 hp, kw, or kva each
For residential, commercial or industrial 220 or 240
volt receptacle each
NOTE: For other types of air conditioners and other motor
driven appliances having larger electrical ratings, see
Power Schedule.
POWER SCHEDULE
For motors, generators, transformers, rectifiers, converters,
capacitors and other motor driven appliances such as heating,
air conditioners and cooking and baking equipment:

NOTE: Fee includes one sub panel, three motors, integral
lighting fixtures and all wiring and lighting for opera-
tion of same. For additional electrical outlets or equip-

not being ready at the time specified or due to work
not corrected after prior written notice Each

ELECTRICAL PLAN CHECKING FEES
When service switch size exceeds 400 amps or 300 volts or
when connected loa.d exceeds 400 amps, a plan checking fee
equal to 75% of the electrical permit fee shall be paid to
the Building Official at the time plans are submitted for
plan check.
ANNUAL ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE PEmlIT

Note: Maintenance permits are only issued to manufacturing
plants, commercial establishments, hospitals and similar
occupancies baving duly licensed journeym.en electricians as
permanent employees.
This annual Permit does not absolve the organization from
any fees, inspections or other requirements of this Code
as pertains to electrical installations.
Section 3. This resolution shall become effective September 5,
1980.
Section 4. Neither the adoption of this resolution nor the repeal
hereby of any resolution shall in any manner be construed as affecting
any of the provisions of such resolution relating to the collection of
any such fee, nor to a.ffect the validity of any bond or cash deposit in

lieu thereof, posted, filed or deposited therefore and all rights and
obligations thereunder appertaining shall continue in full force and
effect.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.
