RESOLUTION No. 825
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA RESCIND-
ING RESOLUTION NO,. 813, PASSED ON THE :SOth DAY OF JUNE, 1936, AND
REQ,UESTING THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY ADMINISTRATION OF PUBLIC WORKS AN
EXTENSION OF THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE SOUTHWEST WELDING AND MANU-
FACTURING COMPANY AND THE CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY' COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arcadia did on the 30th
day of June, 1936, pass a Resolution No. 813 entitled, "Resolution
of the City Council of the City of Arcadia requesting of the Federal
Emergency Administration of Public Works an extension of the Contract
between the Southwest Welding and Manufacturing Company and the City
of Arcadia."
AND WHEREAS, Said action has not yet been approved by the Calif-
ornia State Director of the Federal Emergency Administration of
Public Works.
AND WHEREAS, it is now evident that the periOd of extension of
the Contract, namely forty-five (45) days asked for in Resolution
No. 813, is not su1:ficient to complete the work.
AND WHEREAS, the Southwest Welding and Manufacturing Company
has made application to the City Council of the City of Arcadia for
an extension of that certain contract for the laying of water mains
in the City of Arcadia, Docket, California l297R,
WHEREAS, good causa appears therefrom;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Arcadia do hereby rescind Resolution No. 813, and hereby
recommends to the Federa~ Emergency Administration of Public Works
that that certain contract entered into between the Southwest Welding
and Manufacturing Company and the City of Arcadia, Docket: California
l297R, be extended for a period of seventy-five (75) days.

The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held on
the 18th day of August, 1936, by the affirmative vote of at least
three Councilmen, to-wit:
AYES: Counc1.1men Corby, Daniels, Hoffman and McLean
NOES: Councilman Griffitts
ABSENT: None
