THE crrY COTJ1'!CIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOI"E AS "'0 IT rr':,s : SECTIOH 1: To the Procurement Division of the Treasury Department of the Federal Government: The citizens of Arcadia, through their C5.ty Council re[5ularly convened, hereby petition that YOll erect and construct in the City of Arcadia a nev postoffice buildins at a site to be con- veniently located for the convenience of the inhabitants of the City of Arcadia. SECTION 2: That the present site of the postoffice in the City of Arcacia is held under lease and has been so held since 1924; that owin::; to the rapid increase in population in the City of Arcadia, the quarters now occupied by the postoffice is entirely inaderJ.uate to serve the people of the City of Arcania; the buildin:; was leased by the Government when the population of the f:i ty \'r8.S llnner four thousand; the population of the City of Arcadia is now well over ei::;ht thousand. Buildin::; permits for the Ci.t:, of Arc~05 H for the year end5n::; December 31, 1935, were 0559,835.00, and bn';lnin~ lJFJrmits for the year endin::; December 31, 1936, ''''erFJ !\1,028,950.00.
