RESOLUTION NO. 875.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF
THE ALLEY SITUATED ON THE NORTHERLY SIDE OF FLORAL AVENUE IN TRACT
NO. 7820 IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
That the public interest and convenience
require and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of
Arcadia to close up, vacate and abandon for street purposes all of
that certain alley described as follows:
All that portion of the alley situated on the Northerly
side of Floral Avenue in Tract No. 7820 as per map book 83, page 30
of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County and described more fully as
follows:
Situated on the Easterly line of Lot 17 and the Westerly
line of Lots 18 to :~2 inclusive, all being in said Tract No. 7820
as per map book 83, page 30 of Maps Records of Los Angeles County.
The right to lay. place, install and ma1nt ain public ut 11i ties is
hereby reserved.
SECTION 2: That the exterior boundaries of the dis-
trict of lands in said City of Arcadia which will be affected by
said work or improvement or which will be benefited by the same
and to be assessed to pay the damages, costs and expenses thereof,
and to be known as the assessment district for that purpose, are
hereby fixed and established as the exterior boundaries of Tract
No. 7820 in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, as per map book 83, page 30 of Maps, Records of Los
Angeles County.
SECTION 3:
Notice is hereby given that on the 5th day
of October, 1937, at eight o'clock P. M. of said day in the Council
Chamber of said Ci ty' Council in the City Hall in the Ci ty of Arcadia
any and all peraons having any objections to said proposed improve-
ment of said property may appear before said City Council and show

cause why such improvement should not be made and said alley vacated
and abandoned.
SECTION 4:
That the Street Superintendent of said City of
Arcadia shall post notices of the passage of this Resolution at the
places and in the manner as'required by law and shall cause a
notice similar in substance to be published by four successive in-
sertions in the Arcadia Tribune, a weekly newspaper published and
circulated in said City of Arcadia and hereby designated for that
purpose.
SECTION 5:
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held
on the 17th day of August, 1937, by the affirmative vote of at least
three councilmen, to-wit:
