HomeMy WebLinkAbout5206 RESOLUTION NO. 5206 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF CERTAIN AIR RIGHTS OF A PORTION OF HUNTINGTON DRIVE NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The public interest and convenience require and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Arcadia to vacate for public street purposes a portion of certain air rights of a portion of Huntington Drive, in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly described as follows: That portion of the air space of Huntington Drive (westbound) in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, lying above a horizontal plane having an elevation of 460.88 feet (a minimum vertical distance of 16.33 feet above the top of pavement of Huntington Drive as existed on November 30, 1984), said elevation being based on the official Datum Plane adopted by the City of Arcadia, California, and lying below a horizontal plane having an elevation of 474.88 feet based on the official Datum Plane and having a horizontal width of 14 feet laying 7 feet on each side of a center line described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the westerly right-of- way line of Huntington Drive (westbound) and the northerly line of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District easement per official records 52232-0198; thence northeasterly along aforementioned westerly right-of-way line of Huntington Drive (westbound) a distance of 413.37 feet to the true point of beginning; thence at right angles to the westerly right of way line of said Huntington Drive (westbound) a distance of 80.00 feet to the easterly right of way line of Huntington Drive (westbound). Section 2. Reference is made to Plan No. VAS 84-1, now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Arcadia for further particulars of the proposed vacation. Section 3. Notice is given that the 8th day of January, 1985, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City of Arcadia, any and all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of a portion of certain air rights of a portion of Huntington Drive, may appear before said City Counci 1 and show cause why said vacation should not be carried out in accordance with this Resolution of Intention. -1- 5206 Section 4. The proceedings for the aforesaid vacation shall be taken under an in accordance with an act of the Legislature of the State of California designated and known as the "Public Streets, Highways, and Service Easements Vacation Law," as amended. Section 5. The Director of Public Works of the City of Arcadia shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of the proposed vacation Notices of Street vacation in the manner and form required by said Law. Section 6. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Resolution. Passed, approved and adopted this 18th day of December , 1984.
