HomeMy WebLinkAbout5215 v RESOLUTION NO. 5215 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO GRANT A CABLE TELEVISION FRANCHISE TO FALCON COMMUNICATIONS TO CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN AND OPERATE A CABLE TELEVISION SYSTEM IN ALL PORTIONS OF THE CITY SOUTH OF THE FOOTHILL 210 FREEWAY, STATING THE TERMS UPON WHICH IT SHALL BE GRANTED AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING THEREON The City Council of the City of Arcadia does hereby find, determine and resolve as follows: SECTION I. That the City Council of the City of Arcadia does hereby declare its intention to grant a non-exclusive cable television franchise to Falcon Communications authorizing said entity to construct, maintain and operate a cable television system within all portions of the City south of the Foothill 210 Freeway. SECTION 2. That said non-exclusive franchise shall be granted for a period of fifteen years upon the terms and conditions set forth in the City's Cable Television Franchise Agreement. SECTION 3. Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, the 19th of March, 1985, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. of said day, in the Council Chambers of the City City Council of the City of Arcadia, at the City Hall of said City, 240 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia, California, any and all persons having any interest or any objection to the granting of a franchise to Falcon Communications for the construction, maintenance and operation of a cable -1- 5215 "l- ", television system within all portions of the City south of the 210 Foothill Freeway as described herein may appear before the City Council at said time and place and be heard thereon. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause same to be published at least once in the Arcadia Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of Arcadia and hereby designated for that purpose not less than ten days prior to the date of the hearing set forth herein. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
