A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA DETERMINING THAT
THE PUBLIC INTEREST, CONVENIENCE, AND
NECESSITY REQUIRE THE ACQUISITION OF
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC STREET
PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE ACQUISITION
THEREOF.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY FIND,
DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public interest, convenience and
necessity require the acquisition by the City of Arcadia of the
fee simple title in and to the property hereinafter described for
a public use, namely public street purposes and all uses appurtenant
thereto. That the use for which such land is to be acquired is a
use authorized by law; that the taking of such property is necessary
to such use.
SECTION 2. That the real property, the acquisition of
which is thus acquired, is situated in the City of Arcadia, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, and is described in Exhibit
"A" attached hereto and made a part hereof:

recorded in Book 423, Page 269 of Deeds, in said office of the
County Recorder; thence easterly along said parallel line a

45.05 feet to a line that is parallel with said northerly line
of the Southern Pacific Railroad Right-of-Way and which passes
through a point on said easterly line of Second Avenue, distant
northerly thereon 120.00 feet from the point of beginning;
thence westerly along said last-mentioned parallel line a
distance of 18.12 feet to said easterly line of Second Avenue;

distant westerly thereon 65.39 feet from the intersection of
the westerly line of Tract No. 6860, as per Map recorded in Book

SECTION 3. That the City Attorney be and he is hereby
authorized and instructed to institute proceedings in eminent
domain in the name of. the City of Arcadia in the Superior Court

Section 2 for street purposes and as further authorized to obtain
immediate possession of said property for such purposes.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
