A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA ORDERING THE
FORMATION OF LIGHTING MAINTENANCE
DISTRICT NO. 33
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA HEREBY RESOLVES
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to Resolution of Intention
No. 4094 and the Municipal Maintenance Lighting District Act of
1927, it is ordered that a lighting maintenance distriet be and
the same is hereby formed with boundaries as hereafter set forth;
said district shall be known as Lighting Maintenance District
No. 33.
That, commencing January 1, 1970, the following items of
maintenance and operation shall be furnished from time to time as
necessary at the estimated cost for the first year as shown after
each item:

Total Estimated Cost for the First Year of
Operation and Maintenance...................$ 1,473.08
That the District shall pay 100% of the total expenses
of maintenance and operation, and said expenses shall be paid by
special assessment taxes levied upon all the lands exclusive of
improvements within the district.
That said District includes that portion of Li.ve Oak
Avenue between Santa Anita Avenue and Third Avenue; that the
boundaries of said District are described as follows:

Beginning at the point of intersection of the center lines of Live Oak Avenue and
Santa Anita Avenue, as shown on map of Tract No. 11438 filed in Book 234, Page 22
of Maps in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County; thence northerly along
the center line of Santa Anita Avenue to the point of intersection with the westerly
prolongation of the southerly line of Lot 7, said Tract No. 11438; thence easterly
along said westerly prolongation and said southerly line to a point that is distant
westerly 77.61 feet fTom the southeasterly corner.of said Lot 7; thence northerly
125.00 feet parallel ,.ith the easterly line of said Lot 7 and its northerly prolonga-
tion; thence easterly parallel with said southerly line to the easterly line of Lot 6
of said Tract No. 11438; thence southerly along last mentioned easterly line to the
northwesterly corner of Lot 8 of said Tract No. 11438; thence easterly along the
northerly line of said Lot 8 to the northeasterly corner thereof; th"nce northeasterly
in a direct line to a p'oint on the westerly line of Lot 19 of said Tract No. 11438,
said point being 1.00 foot southerly of the northwesterly corner of said Lot 19; thence
easterly parallel with the northerly line of said Lot 19 to the easterly line of said

Lot 19; thence northerly along said easterly line to the. northeasterly corner of said
Lot 19; thence easterly in a direct line to the northwesterly corner of Lot 2, Tract
No. 12915, as per map recorded in Book 270, Page 10 of Maps in the office of said
Recorder; thence easterly along the northerly line of said Lot 2 to the northeasterly
corner thereof; the~ce northeasterly in a direct line to the intersection of the easterly
line of Greenfield Avenue and the southerly line of the first Alley north of Live Oak
Avenue, granted to the City of Arcadia in Document 2802 recorded in Book D:30l6, Page
932.of Official Records of said County; thence easterly along said southerly alley
line and its easterly prolongation to the southerly line of said alley as described
in deed to the City of Arcadia in Document 3859 recorded in Booli. 55889, Pages 398 & 399 of
Official. Records of said County; thence continuing easterly along la:t said southerly
line, and following same through its various courses ~nd distances to a point 57 feet

south 890 44' 55" west of the center line of Second Avenue as shown on map of Tract
12670, as described in last said document; thence northeasterly in a direct line to
the intersection of.the easterly line of said Second Avenue, 84 feet wide, and the
northerly line of Lot 55, Tract No. 13217, as per map recorded in Book 264, Pages 26
and 27 of Maps in the office of said Recorder; thence easterly along said northerly
line to the northeasterly corner of said Lot 55; thence northerly along the westerly.
line of Lot 2 of said Tract No. 13217 to the northwesterly corner thereof; thence
easterly along the northerly line of said Lot 2 and its easterly prolongation to the
center line of Third Avenue, as shown on map of said Tract No. 13217; thence southerly
along said center line to the center line of Live Oak Avenue, as shown on map of last
said Tract; thence southeasterly in a direct line to a point on the southerly line of Live
Oak Avenue, 100 feet wide, said point being distant westerly 303 feet from the north-
west corner of Farna Avenue, as shown on map filed in Book 373, Pages 3 to 6, of Maps
in the office of said J~ecorder; thence southerly perpendicular to the last mentioned

southerly line to the southerly b~undary of the City of Arcadia, as same existed on

September 15, 1969; thence westerly along said southerly boundary and following same
through it~ various courses and distances to its intersection with thl! center line of
Double Drive, as shown on map of Tract No. 11539 filed. in Book 255, Page 3~ of Maps in the
office of said Recorder; thence northerly along said center line to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. That a certified copy of this resolution shall
be filed with the Assessor who makes the assessments for the general
city taxes, and thereafter the Assessor in making up the city assess-
ment roll shall segregate the prope'rty included wi thin the district
hereby formed on the assessment roll under the district designation
contained in the resolution, to wit: "Lighting Maintenance District

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia
held on the
