RESOLUTION NO. 652.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
ORDERING THE HOLDING OF A SPECIAL ELECTION IN SAID CITY OF ARCADI
ON THE 4TH. DAY OF OCTOBER, 1932, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING
TO THE ELECTORS IN SAID CITY OF ARCADIA THE QUESTION UHETHER HARR
A. LINK AND HENRY A. SEAMAN, MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAID
CITY OF ARCADIA SHALL BE RECALLED AND IF RECALLED, WHETHER THE
CITY COUNCIL SHALL FILL THE VACANCY OR VACANCIES BY APPOINTMENT
OR CALL A SPECIAL ELECTION FOR THAT PURPOSE; PROVIDING FOR THE
POLLING PLACES FOR THE HOLDING OF SUCH ELECTION, APPOINTING THE
ELEOTION OFFICERS FOR THE SAME AND FIXING THEIR COMPENSATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
That a Special Eleotion be and the same is hereby oa11ed
to be held in said City of Aroadia on Tuesday, the 4th. day of
October, 1932, for the purpose of voting upon the following pro-
positions, to-wit:
Shall Harry A. Link be recalled from the office of mem-
ber of the City Oouncil of said City of Aroadia?
Shall Henry A. Seaman be reoal1ed from the office of
member of the Oity Oouncil of said Oity of Arcadia?
If the Recall prevails, shall the City Council of the
City of Aroadia fill the vaoanoy or vaoancies by appointment or
oa11 a Speoial Election for that purpose?
That the ballots to be used at said Special Election
shall conform to the provisions of an Aot of the Legislature
of the State of California, entitled: "An Act to provide for the
recall of elective offioers of incorporated oities and towns and
to repeal Ohapter 32, Statutes of 1911, Extra Session, entitled,
IAn Act to provide for the recall of eleotive offioers of incor-
porated oities and towns', approved January 2, 1912", approved
May 8, 1931.

That the polls for said Special Election shall be opene&
at six o'c1ook on the morning of the day of said E1eotion and
shall be kept open until seven o'clook in the afternoon of the
same day, when the polls shall be closed, except as provided in
Seotion 1164 of the Po1itioa1 Code of the State of California.
That said Speoial Election shall be held in aooordanoe

with the provisions of an Aot of the Legislature of the State of
Cali~ornia, entitled: "An Aot to provide for and regulate muni-
oipa1 eleotions in oities of the fifth and sixth olass,"approved
May 27, 1919,and in all other respects not otherwise provided for
therein, shall be held and oonduoted in aocordanoe with the Gen-
eral Election Laws of the State of California so far as the same
may be applicable.
That the Election Precinots last established and des-
ignated within said City of Arcadia by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Los Angeles, State of Oa1ifornia, for the hold-
ing of General E1eotions and whioh said E1eotion Preoincts so
established were and are designated as Arcadia Oity Precincts
Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, respectively, shall for
the purpose of said Special Election be oonso1idated, designated
and shall embraoe all that part of said Oity of Arcadia as fol-
lows:
A. ~roadia City Precinct No.1, Arcadia City Precinot
No.2 and Aroadia City Precinct No.3 shall be oonso1idated and
designated as Aroadia City Consolidated Precinot No.1, which
said Aroadia Oity Oonsolidated Precinot No.1 Shall consist of
and be coextensive with said Aroadia City Precinots Nos. 1, 2
and 3.
B. Arcadia Oity Preoinct No.4, Aroadia Oity Precinot
No. 5 and Arcadia City Precinct No.6 shall be oonso1idated and
designated as Aroadia City Oonso1idated Precinct No.2, which
said Arcadia City Oonsolidated Precinct No.2 shall oonsist of
and be ooextensive with said Arcadia Oity Precinots Nos. 4, 5
and 6.
C. Arcadia City Preoinot No.7 and Aroadia Oity Pre-
oinot No.8 shall be consolidated and designated as Arcadia City
Consolidated Preoinct No.3, whioh said Arcadia City Consolidate~

Preoinct No.3 shall oonsist of and be ooextensive with said
Aroadia City Precincts Nos. 7 and 8.
D. Aroadia Uity Precinot No.9 and Aroadia City Pre-
oinot No. 10 shall be consolidated and designated as Aroadia Oity
Uonsolidated Precinot No. 4,which said Arcadia City Consolidated
Precinot No.4 shall oonsist of and be ooextensive with said Ar-
oadia City Precincts Nos. 9 and 10.
That the respective polling places for the holding of
said Special Election and the respeotive Officers of said E1eo-
tion are hereby designated and namedas follows, to-wit:
ARCADIA CITY CONSOLIDATED." PRECINCT NO.1.
POLLING PLACE, Chamber of Commeroe Office, City Hall,
situate at Northwest corner of First Avenue and Huntington Drive,
in said City of Arcadia.

South Seoond Avenue, Arcadia, California.

fixed at the sum of $6.00.
That said City Counoi1 will meet at its usual p1aoe of
meeting on Monday. October 10, 1932, at the hour of 8:00 o'clook
P. M. to oanvass the returns of said Election and declare the
result thereof.
The Oity Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meet-
ing of the City Counoil of said City of Arcadia, held on the 6th.
day of September, 1932, by the affirmative vote of at least three
uounoilmen, to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen, Busse, Krebs, Link, Schrader and Seama .
NOES: None,
and signed and approved this 6th. day of September, 1932.
