RESOLUTION NO. 668.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
DEULARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION AND ABANDOlnlENT OF
A PORTION OF SYCAMORE AVENUE IN SAID CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COm~CIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the publiC interest and convenience
require and it is the intention of said City Council to close up,
vacate and abandon for street purposes that portion of Sycamore
Avenue in said City of Arcadia, from the Easterly line of First
Avenue to a line drawn across said Sycamore Avenue distant thirty
westerly
(30) fee~from and parallel to the Easterly line of Lot 10, in \
Block 94, of the Santa Anita Tract, in the City of Arcadia,County'
of Los Angeles, State of California, as per Map recorded in Book
34, Pages 41 and 42, Miscellaneous Records of said County"pro-
longed Southerly across said Sycamore Avenue. 7
SECTION 2: That the exterior boundaries of the Distric
of land in said City of Arcadia which will be affected by said
work or improvement and which will be benefitted by the same and
to be assessed to pay the damages, costs and expenses thereof
and to be known as the Assessment District for that purpose, are
hereby fixed as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at the Northeasterly corner of Foothill Boule
vard and First Avenue in said City of Arcadia; thence Northerly
along the Easterly line of said First Avenue to the Northwesterly
corner of Lot 9, Block 94, Santa Anita Tract, in the City of Ar-
cadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per Map re-
corded in Book 34, Pages 41 and 42, Miscellaneous Records of said
County; thence Easterly along the Northerly line of said Lot 9
to the Northeast corner thereof; thence Southerly along the East-
erly line of said Lot 9, 220 feet; thence Easterly and parallel
to the Northerly line of Lot 10, Block 94, of said Santa Anita
Tract; 286.67 feet; thence Southerly and parallel to the Easterly'
line of said Lot 10, to the Southerly line thereof; thence South-

easterly in a direct line to the Northeasterly corner of Lot 4,
in Block 90, of said Santa Anita Tract; thence Southerly along
the Easterly line of said Lot 4 to the Northerly line of said
Foothill Boulevard; thence Westerly along the Northerly line of
said Foothill Boulevard to the point of beginning.
SECTION 3: That the Street Superintendent of said City
of Arcadia shall post Notices of the passage of this Resolution
at the place and in the manner and form as required by law and
shall also cause a Notice similar in substance to be published
by four successive insertions in The Arcadia News, a ~eekly news-
paper published and circulated in said City of Arcadia and hereby
designated for that purpose.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Besolution.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meet-
ing of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on the 3rd.
day of January, 1933, by the affirmative vote of at least three
Councilmen, to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen, Busse, Krebs, Link, Schrader and
Seaman,
NOES: None,
and signed and approved this 3rd. day Of January, 1933.
