HomeMy WebLinkAbout4371 RESOLUTION NO. 4371 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA AMENDING THE TOPICS PROGRAM AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR FOUR TRAFFIC SIGNAL PROJECTS. WHEREAS, the City of Arcadia and the State of California through the Department of Public Works, Division of Highways, entered into an agreement dated September 1, 1970, relating to the TOPICS (Traffic Operations Program to Increase Capacity and Safety) program; and WHEREAS, the City has undertaken projects to modify traffic signals at Santa Anita Avenue at Huntington Drive, First Avenue at 'Huntington Drive, Duarte Road at Baldwin Avenue, and Foothill Boulevard at Second Avenue; and WHEREAS, these projects are eligible for funding under the TOPICS program; and WHEREAS, a form of agreement has been presented to the City to supplement said agreement of September 1, 1970, and thereby providing certain funds to pay a portion of the cost of said signal installations; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA RESOLVES that the Mayor is authorized to execute on behalf of the City a supplemental agreement to the original TOPICS program agreement, dated September 1, 1970, said supplemental agreement being for the purpose of providing funds to be used for a portion of the costs of the installation of traffic signals as described above, The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. -1- 4371 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held on the 16th day of October, 1973, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Butterworth, Helms, Scott and Arth NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Hage ~~~ SIGNED AND APPROVED this 16th day of October , 1973. r1, /C...--kJ t4.zL Mayor of the City of Arcadia ATTEST: (SEAL) -2- 4371
