RESOLUTION NO. 4374
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARCADIA ORDERING THE VACATION
OF A PORTION OF BALDWIN AVENUE AT THE
SOUTHEAST CORNER OF LAS TUNAS DRIVE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY
DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to Resolution No. 4364
declaring the intention of the City Council to vacate and abandon
a portion of Baldwin Avenue at the southeast corner of Las Tunas
Drive located in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the easterly
line of Baldwin Avenue 55 feet wide and the
southerly line of Las Tunas Drive 100 feet
wide as shown on map of Tract No. 6641 recorded
in Book 126, page 67, of Maps in the office of
the Recorder of Los Angeles County, thence
easterly 25.29 feet along-said southerly line;
thence southerly parallel with said easterly
line 12.30 feet to the true point of beginning;
thence westerly at right angles 4 feet; thence
southerly parallel with said easterly line
54.74 feet; thence southwesterly 70 feet to a
point that is 19 feet, measured at right
angles from said easterly line; thence southerly,
parallel with said easterly line to the southerly
line of Lot 42 of said Tract; thence easterly
along last mentioned lot line to a point that
is 25.59 feet easterly of first said easterly
line; thence northerly parallel with said
avenue to the true point of beginning,
a public hearing was duly held on October 2, 1973, at the hour of
7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Arcadia City Hall, 240 West
Huntington Drive, Arcadia, California, for the purpose of hearing
all persons interested in, or objecting to, the proposed vacation
of the above described portion of said street. At said public
hearing, the City Council accepted and received all testimony
offered in support of, or in objection to, said proposed vacation.
SECTION 2. That the City Council finds from all the
evidence submitted that the portion of the said street hereinabove

described, and so described in the resolution of intention to
vacate portion of said street, is unnecessary for present or
prospective street purposes, and therefore it is ordered that the
above described portion of said street be vacated, reserving and
excepting an easement for underground electrical service over the
southerly 10 feet of the above described property.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and shall cause a certified copy thereof to be
recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Arcadia held on the

affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Hage, Helms, Scott and Arth
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Butterworth
