HomeMy WebLinkAbout4375 . RESOLUTION NO. 4375 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF LA SALLE STREET (CHICAGO PARK TRACT). THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to Resolution No. 4365 declaring the intention of the City Council to vacate and abandon a portion of La Salle Street located in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly described as follows: That portion of La Salle Street as shown on Map of Chicago Park Tract recorded in Book 30, page 100, of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County lying between the following described parcel and Cogswell Road as shown on map of Tract No. 13286 in Book 268, pages 29-32, of said County records: Beginning at the southwesterly corner of Lot 1667; thence north 22011'15" east along the northwesterly line of said Lot 1667 a distance of 5 feet; thence south 67044'57" east 11.74 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave northerly having a radius of 92 feet; thence along said curve 26.48 feet through an angle of 16029'20"; thence tangent to said curve south 84014'17" east 50.00 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave southwesterly having a radius of 50.00 feet; thence southeasterly along said curve 185.86 feet through an angle of 212058'40": thence tangent to last said cur~e north 51015'37" west 50.00 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave southwesterly having a radius of 92.00 feet; thence along said curve 26.48 feet through an angle of 16029'20"; thence tangent to last curve north 67044'57" west 11.74 feet to the northwesterly line of , Lot 1899 of said Tract; thence north 22011'15" east 60.00 feet to pOint of beginning, a public hearing was duly held on October 2, 1973, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Arcadia City Hall, 240 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, California, for the purpose of hearing -1- 4375 all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of the above described portion of said street. At said public hearing, the City Council accepted and received all testimony offered in support of, or in objection to, said proposed vacation. ,SECTION 2. That the City Council finds from all the evidence submitted that the portion of the said street hereinabove described, and so described in the resolution of intention to vacate portion of said street, is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes, and therefore it is ordered that the above described portion of said street be vacated. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify 'to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause a certified copy thereof to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County.
