ROBERT ARTH AS THE LEAOER OF THE DELEGATI Oil OF ARCADIANS ON TilE OCCASIOiI OF THEIR SECOND OFFICIAL VISIT TO TIIEIR SISTER CITY, NEWCASTLE, NEW sOUTII WALES, AUSTRALIA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arcadia has designated certain Arcadi ans as Ambassadors of Good\'ii 11 on the occas i on of thei r offi ci a 1 vi sit to Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia; and ImEREAS. it is the desire of the City Council that the gt"OUP shall have the benefits of recognized leadership at all times on the trip, and particularly when official welcoming ceremonies are given in their honor; and WHEREAS, the tour group includes C. ROBERT ARTH, a former Mayor and Councilman of the City of Arcadia, who is active in community affairs and has participated in many previous goodwill trips and been most active in sister city and goodwill affairs, and in addition led a group of 20 Arcadians' in 1972 on their initial visit to Newcastle, following which the Sister City relationship developed: HOI~, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That C. ROBERT ARTH be appointed as the official representative of the Arcadia City Council on this goodwill trip, realizing that through his efforts and the spirit of friendship and cooperation of the people accompanying him, the purpose of the trip, as a part of the People-To-People Program will be achieved. That IN TESTIMONY TO THIS COVENANT we hereby affix our signatures and set thereto the Seal of our City on this 16th day of February, 1982 here in the City Hall of the City of Arcadia, State of California, in the United States of America.
