RESOLUTION NO. 4726 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA ESTABLISHING A SENIOR CI- TIZENS' COMMISSION THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY R~- SOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. There is hereby established a Senior Citizens' Commission which shall act in an advisory capacity to the City Council in matters relating to Senior Citizens of the community; the Commission shall provide leadership for the coordination of senior citizens' activities within the community. SECTION 2. The Commission shall have seven (7) members who shall be appointed by the City Council from legally registered voters of the City of Arcadia who shall be subject to removal by the Council. In making appointments, the Council shall give due regard to persons who are nominated for appointment pursuant to rules established by the Commission. SECTION 3. The Commission shall prescribe procedures and rules of operation approved by the City Council which shall be kept on file in the office of the City Clerk. A procedure shall be established for including a representative of the City Council in all deliberations of the Commission. The affirmative vote of four (4) members shall be necessary to take action. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held on the 17th day of February, 1978, by the affirmative vote of at least three Council Members, to wit: -1- AYES: Council Members Gilb, Lauber, Margett, Parry and Saelid None NOES: ABSENT: None SIGNED AND APPROVED this 17th day of 1978. -~-
