RESOLUTION NO. 4550
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARCADIA CONSENTING TO ANNEXA-
TION NO. 44 (MAYFLOWER AREA).
WHEREAS, on June 3, 1975, a petition signed by 100 per-
cent of the registered voters in the area (representing all
property owners) requesting annexation to the City of Arcadia was
presented to the Arcadia City Council; and
WHEREAS, on February 25, 1976, the Local Agency Formation
Commission approved the annexation of the area to the City of
Arcadia; and
WHEREAS, on March 9, 1976, in accordance with Section
35108 of the Government Code, the Planning Commission adopted
Resolution No. 928 recommending approval of said annexation; and
WHEREAS, after consideration, the City Council has deter-
mined that said annexation is desirable in order to eliminate juris-
dictional problems posed by four (4) residential lots that are now
divided between the City of Arcadia and the County of Los Angeles,
and to provide a logical easterly boundary for the City of Arcadia,
and in order to provide homogeneity in zoning and municipal services
to all areas which, by reason of geographical location, are
entitled to such compatible service;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That pursuant to Section 35106 of the
Government Code, the City Council hereby consents to the proposed
Annexation No. 44.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia
held on the 16th
day of March
, 1976, by the affirmative
vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
