RESOLUTION NO. 4592
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARCADIA AUTHORIZING THE PLANNING DIRECTOR
TO SIGN THE CLAIM FORMS FOR BIKEWAY DEVELOP-
MENT AND DESIGNATING A BIKEWAY PROJECT
WHEREAS, the development of Arcadia's portion of the San
Gabriel Valley Bikeway would encourage the bicycle mode of trans-
portation by providing safer access to major bicycle trip generators;
WHEREAS, monies have been allocated to the City of Arcadia
as its share of State Gas Tax Monies for Bikeway Development under
SB 821;
WHEREAS, to claim said funds, it is necessary to designate a
project on which these funds will be spent;
WHEREAS, to claim said funds, it is necessary to authorize
the Planning Director to sign the claim form;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That Arcadia's portion of the bikeway known as
The San Gabriel Valley Bikeway is hereby adopted to be the recipient
project of Bikeway Funds from SB 821, fiscal year 1976-1977.
SECTION 2. That William D. Woolard, Planning'Director, is
hereby authorized to sign claim forms for monies available under the
provisions of SB 821 for bikeway development.

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this'resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof to be for-
warded to the Southern California Association of Governments.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia
held on the 7th day of December, 1976, by the affirmative vote
of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Gilb, Margett, Parry, Saelid and Lauber
NOES: None
