A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARCADIA ORDERING THE ANNEXATION
TO AND DETACHMENT OF CERTAIN LANDS FROM
THE ARCADIA CONSOLIDATED LIGHTING DISTRICT
(ANNEXATION NO.6) ,

WHEREAS, on October 28, 1976, there was filed with the City
Clerk a report of the City Engineer made pursuant to the Street
Lighting Act of 1919, Section 18000, et seq., of the Streets and
Highways Code, which report contains a map of the lands which are
proposed to be detached from existing zones and to be annexed to
Arcadia Consolidated Lighting District, and the particular zones
into which said lands are ,to be incorporated, and a statement of the
nature and extent' of the proposed ifuprovement; and the estimated cost
thereof 1 and

WHEREAS, on December 7, 1976, the City Council duly held a
,public hearing for the purpose of hearing protests to the annexation
of said lands to said lighting district and the proposed improvement;
and
WHEREAS,
no
protests were presented by persons having
an interest in the land involved questioning the need for such annexa-
tion;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES
HEREBY RESOLVF; AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION I. Said report of the City Engineer dated October 27,
1976,on file in the Office of the City Clerk, is approved and adopted,

the protest.s are overruled and the propose~ assessment as set forth
in said report is hereby' confirmed and it ts hereby ordered that said
improvements be made and that the levying and collection of assess-
'.' "
ments shall be done in accordance with the Alternative Procedure for
Levying and Collecting Assessments on an Ad Valorem Basis as set forth
in Chapter 8.5 of the Street Lighting Act 'of 1919.
Said lands are hereby annexed to the Arcadia Consolidated
Lighting District and are incorporated into said zones of said light-
ing district, and detachments are hereby made from Zones A and E,
all as shown on a map consisting of fourteen sheets, which map is a
part of said Engineer's report and is hereby incorporated herein by
reference. -,
The improvement consists of furnishing and maintaining
electric'" li.ghting for said lands, a part of' which are in Zones A, B,
and C as follows:

Credit of $1082.91
Fifty percent of the costs of Zone B, $678.35, shall be borne
by the City and shall be paid from the General Fund.
The estimated costs to be borne by each zone shall be paid by
special assessment taxes levied upon all lands, exclusive of improve-
ments, within each zone.
The improvement (operation and maintenance) of the street
lighting system on said lands shall be for a period commencing July I,
1977 and ending June 30, 1990.

SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held on
the 7th day of December, 1976, by the affirmative vote of at least
three Councilmen, to wit:
