THE CITY COUNCIL OF Tf1:E CITY OF ARCADIA DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOIVS: . - .'- WHEREAS, Holly Avenue in said City of Arcadia is a North and South street 9400 feet in langth, crossed by four important mast end Uest Streets, namely, Live Oak Avenue, Las Tunas Boulevard, DUarte Road end Huntington Drive, serving the population of the westerly portion of Arcadia, snd has been designsted by the Los Angeles County Regional Planning Commission as a Secondary Highway, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the Ctty of Arcadia hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of ~os Angeles County to furnish ssid City the sum of $22,000.00 to pay for a 40 foot Oil Macadam psvement on said Holly Avenue from Live Oak Avenue to Huntington Drive, the present oenter strip of pave- ment to be left in place wherever practicable, with shoulders ex- tended to either side, makIng the roadway 40 feet In width and 4 inches in thIckness. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; Thet the said City Council hereby pledges said Bosrd of Supervisors that said City of Aroadia will p~ovide proper supervision and equipment to properly utilize the labor to do such grading and paving as may be required on said Holly Avenue. The City Clerk shall oertify to the adoption of this Reso- lution. The Foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Caunoil of the City of Arcadia, held on the ?th day of August, 1934, by the affirmative vote of at least three councilmen, to-wit: AYES: Councilmen Daniels, Hoffman, Krebs, McLean and Schrader.
