THE CI'l'Y OF .b.RClIDIA DO RESOLVE AS FOLLO:-:S: 4 OHEREAS, Holly Avenue, in said City of Aroadia is a North and South Street, serving the population of a portion of Aroadia, and has been desiGnated by the Los Angeles County Resional Plann1ng Commission as a Seoondary Highway, and it will be one of the msin thoroughfares serving the Los Angeles Turf Club whioh has a psrking oapaoity of 15,000 automobiles; and uR~AS, on November 19, 1934, the Railroad Commission of the Stste of California granted an order, No. 27542, authorizing the City Council of the City of Arcadia to construct Holly Avenue ,at grade aoross the tracks of Pacific ;,lectrlo Raill1ay Company at Hunt1ngton Drive and Holly Avenue in the City of Aroadia; and \mER~AS, it is proposed to pave said Holly Avenue from 5 6 7 8 9 29 ~orth nuntington Drive to South Huntington Drive with 6" asphsltic concrete pavement to a width of 60 feet over said Paoific Electric Company's tracke, and from South Huntington Drive to Duerte Road, to pave and re-surface with 4" 011 maoadam pavemEnt to a width of 40 feet; and IrnEREAS, it is estimated that the total cost of construct- and ing a orossing aoross Pacifio ~leotric R~ilway Company's tracks,^pavi g from worth Huntington Drive to Duarte Road in said City of Arcadia, will be 010,307.00; and NOW:TBEREJl'ORlf, Bll:' IT RESOLVf:D, that the city Counoil of the City of Aroadia hereby requests of the Board of Suporvisors of the County of Los Angeles to appropriate the sum of Q 10,307.00, whioh it is est1mated 1s the cost of the 1cprovement.
