A 'RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF.
ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF
THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE
HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY THE 11TH DAY OF APRIL
1978, FOR THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF SAID
CITY AS REQUIRED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE CHARTER
OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA.
SECTION 1. Under the provisions of Section 1100 of the Charter
of the City. of Arcadia a general municipal election shall be held on the
11th day of April 1978 for the election of three (3) members of the City
Council to hold office for the full term or period of four (4) years from
and after the .18th day of April 1978.
SECTION 2. That for the purpose of holding said election there
shall be and there are hereby established precincts designated as herein-
after stated; that the polling places shall be places hereinafter designated
and the persons hereinafter named are hereby appointed officers of the
election for their respective election precincts and they shall hold said
election and make return thereof in the manner provided by law;
SECTION 3. That the polls shall be opened a~ 7 A.M. on the day
of April 11, 1978 and shall remain open continuously from that time until
7 P.M. on said date when the polls shall be closed except as provided in
Section 14301 of the Elections Code of the State of California.
'SECTION 4. That the compensation of the persons hereinafter
named as election officers is hereby fixed at the sum of Twenty-Nine Dollars
($29.00) for each Inspector, and Twenty-Four Dollars for each Judge and
Clerk. The rental of each polling place, where a charge is made, shall be
the sum of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00). When required the compensation
of the Custodian of a building shall be Twelve Dollars ($12.00).
SECTION 5. That the General Municipal Election shall be held in
accordance with the provisions of the City Charter of the City of Arcadia
and in accordance with the provisions of the Elections Code of the State of
California relating to General Law Cities insofar as the same are not in
conflict with said City Charter.
SECTION 6. That said City Council shall meet in the Council
Chamber of the Arcadia City Hall on Tuesday April 18, 1978 at 7:30 p.m.
to declare the results thereof.

SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and shall cause notice of the election, the offices to
be filled and the other matters relating to the election to be given as
required by the Elections Code of the State of California.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that.the foregoing resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held on
the 20th day of December, 1977.by the affirmative vote of at least three
Council Members, to wit:
