HomeMy WebLinkAbout4154 '. RESOLUTION NO. ~ L//.r 'I A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA CONVEYING A PORTION OF BONITA PARK FOR STREET PURPOSES TO BECOME A PART OF SECOND AVENUE. WHEREAS, certain property hereinafter described, at the southeast eorner of Second Avenue and Huntington Drive, is owned by the City of Arcadia and is neeessary for the widening of Second Avenue; and WHEREAS, said property has been appraised by an independent appraiser; and WHEREAS, the fair mark~t value of said property is the sum of $63,901.50; and WHEREAS, County Aid to Cities Funds are available to pay for the acquisition of said property for street purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA THAT the hereinafter described real property is hereby conveyed to the public for street purposes and is hereby dedieated for street purposes in consideration of the transfer of the sum of $63,901.50 from County Aid to Cities Funds to the General Capital Improvement Fund in reserve for park aequisition and improve- ment purposes. Said real property is described as follows: Beginning at the northwest corner of Block 58, Santa Anita Traet, as shown on map recorded in Book 3l~, Pages 41 & 42 of Miscellaneous Records, in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County; thence south 20 feet along the west line of said lot; thence east 10 feet along a line that is parallel with the north line of said Block to the true point of beginning; thence continuing east along said parallel line to its interseetion with the southwesterly line of that certain strip of land deeded to the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company in deed recorded in Book 17663, Page 183 of Official -1- ~ 0J7/ '.
